Good Morning from a beautifully still and sunny Co Armagh, that is some glitch on the bbc weather !!
I’m wearing my winter trousers today and warm cardi , off to Mass soon and the heating there is erratic, candles will be lit and prayers offered

DD-out-law has just been with numerous bags of the DGDs' stuff as they will be here after school today until Sunday. Mum and dad (DS) are off to Manchester for a long weekend, a delayed anniversary celebration, staying in the Midland hotel, no less. Bedrooms are all ready for the girls and my Sainsbury's delivery arrives this morning, so will be well stocked with food. A Bolognese is on the menu for today, which I shall prepare in the slow cooker later.

A day in yesterday, doing various little jobs around the house and some household admin on the laptop. Read more of my book club book (Showstopper by Peter Lovesey) in the afternoon; I'm now halfway through it.

Worrying that there's been no word from Mdoll; hope all is ok.

Good morning all, thanks for the good wishes, I'm not very well at the moment. The icing on the cake, yet another stress fracture in my foot. I am trying hard to be upbeat, but failing miserably. Poor Mr MD. I am in a low tolerance mood! 😉 💕

My pal Kalu messaged me yesterday, she too is finding her new normal very difficult. 💐

So sorry, MD, hope things improve very soon. Waiting for the man to clear the gutters is the main focus of the day, another job which now needs an expert rather than doing it ourselves but one not to neglect as we have so many local trees and a roof which seems to be a breeding ground for moss.

Hello everyone!

It's 10.5C here in little Appleby which has shot up from the 8.9 it was when I clocked in for work at 6 this morning!

I'm on a break and have just bought a birthday card for our neighbour, Marion who will be the grand 100 on the 11th October!

Her hubby died yonks ago and she continues to live alone and do her own washing and shopping! She's up the road multiple times a day because while her mind is still sharp she's also forgetful and will go into the local chemist for her medicine, put them down at home somewhere then the next day she's back in the chemist asking for her medicine as she forgot that she had it the previous day!

She's absolutely gorgeous with a brilliant sense of humour!
