Good morning on another cloudy day in Torbay.

Poor you, Mick! I hope you will seek medical advice at the earliest opportunity as you’ve mentioned these symptoms over a few weeks now.

Thank you for the appreciative comments about the photograph I posted yesterday. I am blessed to live in such a beautiful area!

This morning I’ve been asked to play the piano at church for the early service. Fortunately, none of the hymns is too challenging for my slightly arthritic fingers. This afternoon there's a rehearsal for The Wind In The Willows at our theatre in which I have a couple of minor rôles besides being required to swell the singing from the wings.

A blessed Sunday to all with special thoughts for those going through difficult times. 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

Good morning from a dry, mild Bristol.
I’m sorry you’re unwell again, Mick, you really should contact professionals.
A quiet day yesterday. After the church coffee, I planted out bulbs and pansies. I found that the squirrels had destroyed yet another plant, planted earlier, despite my elaborate web of threads made to deter them. I have put a hefty dose of chilli powder which is supposed to put them off. I also put lots of ant powder in the hope that the wood lice won’t devour every pans bud and flower. 🤞🤞🤞 They wrecked last year’s.
I could hear a load of fireworks last night but saw none, which is a shame.
I hope everyone has a good/better/best day today. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning from overcast s somerset

I have an allotment, half size and somewhat overgrown with a decrepit wonky damp shed. Lots to do with lots of effort. I did over 3 hours yesterday and will do again today but from today will only do heavy stuff on alternate days. There is plenty of that

I have had to spend money, dry storage, compost bin, strimmer, weed cover etc. I am hoping they are one-off spends. My wheelbarrow is in my car, I had to walk carrying heavy loads yesterday, lesson learned. Water collection is a priority too, the shed will help, it has some guttering. I will need to set up a row of connected water butts by march

I am about to buy a cheap watch from amazon, I didn`t notice the passage of time and don`t want to over-extend myself again

Sewing was finished, by 9am yesterday, thankfully

Have a good day

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a still dark South Yorkshire. Mick I’m so sorry you’re struggling again. Do please see your doctor soon.
Nice to be back in my own bed. When I came home yesterday my heating wasn’t working again. It is now, but I’m going to have stern words with the engineer tomorrow. It’s been nothing but trouble since he serviced it. I must do a food shop today and then this evening I’m driving over to DDs as we are all going out for dinner.
Have the best day you can, folks.

Good morning from a very dark but dry start to the day here on the east coast of Fife. Yesterday was a difficult day my ds was taken into hospital by a caring paramedic team, she’s in good hands now. No more pain she’ll be well looked after thanks to the NHS,

Have a good day my friends take care of yourself an others as best you can you never know what’s around the corner,💐

RosesandLilac Sun 03-Nov-24 06:30:03

Good morning from a dark hillside in south Glos.
A pottering sort of day yesterday, not a lot done but quite content with that. I had a love dog walk really early, met with a couple of other dog walkers on the green, the dogs all played together for 20 minutes or so.
I didn’t feel well by mid afternoon, very cold and my IBS really kicked off so went to bed with a hot water bottle. It’s a bit better this morning so let’s see how today goes!
Take care 🌹

Good morning from a mild Cornwall, where a lovely cool breeze is wafting across my bed. A crazy, lovely day yesterday with both my youngest grandchildren. The boy aged seven made gingerbread sharks and the girl aged nine made a wreath from pieces of fabric.

For their dad, who likes all things peculiar, I bought a strange edible fungi called Lion's Mane (white and hairy) from a market stall. Will hear in due course what it was like to eat; you cook it like steak apparently.

Today I'm drawn towards the glorious Perranporth beach for a long walk.

Morning all from West Oxfordshire.

Mick, don’t you think you should speak to your medical team? This has been going on far too long.

Another quiet day. I’ll probably visit friends this afternoon. She is due to have a hip replacement on Tuesday but her husband had a dreadful tumble the other day and landed flat on his face. Abrasions, bruised and a broken tooth!

We should have been going to a car boot sale today so OH could sell his honey. However, he is having to warm it all as it has crystallised. I’m not sure what’s happening now as our daughter is coming next weekend.

Have a good day everyone.

Bellasnana Sun 03-Nov-24 07:12:17

Good morning from Malta where it’s cloudy but due to reach 25°C again.

No idea what I’m doing today apart from Mass and my weekly FaceTime chat wth my friend in Leicester. Like me, she’s on her own so we both understand each other’s loneliness.

Sorry you were not well again Mick.😞.
Bonnybanko you must be worried about your sister, I do hope she will soon be better and back home.🙏🏻

Wishing a good day to you all.☀️

kittylester Sun 03-Nov-24 07:15:06

Good morning all from a grey North Leicestershire.

Not a lot happening here today. We are going to a pub in the village for lunch. The pub has recently changed hands from one that served a very popular carvery to one that does table service. A carvery is a bit of a worry for someone with a gluten intolerance so I am happier

We had a Turkish takeaway last night - I don't cook when Strictly is on!! It was delicious.

Have the best day possible.

harrigran Sun 03-Nov-24 07:31:25

Good morning from a grey NE where it feels quite mild.
Yesterday was spent pottering. Got a new kettle out of my store cupboard and put it to use, the old one was starting to look shabby. Changed the filter in my water jug and tidied the kitchen.
Pulled Henry round the hard floor surfaces and then retired to the sofa with my book and Lang Lang on the player.
Made a veggie curry for dinner and had an alcohol free beer with it then blew my good intentions by having a glass of white wine.
No visitors again today so will catch up with some TV.
Bonnybanko 💐

“Oh what a beautiful morning, oh what a beautiful day …” 🎶 🎵

Good morning everyone from gorgeously warm Málaga. I think the weather here must be similar to yours Bellasnana! We did a fair bit of walking yesterday. I took this photo. I like the white against the blue sky and the greenery. Everything looks so vibrant out here.

I’m thinking a less energetic day today. Stay local to eat and drink. It’s wonderful to have the choice, plus Man. Utd play later and then there’s the Brazilian Grand Prix - Himself plans to be immersed!

Hope your sister feels better soon Bonnybanko. x

NannyJan53 Sun 03-Nov-24 07:34:24

Good morning from a dull but dry Black Country.

Off to the caravan shortly, to give it a clean and make it ready for Winter storage, by dotting small dehumidifiers around. Caravan site will be closed Monday until end of February, so only staying the one night. Evening Sunday roast at a local pub

Tomorrow we will stop off at Bristol to spend an hour with MrJ's DD who will be working from home.

Hopefully we will be home by 3pm (ish)

I echo everyone here Mick in saying that you really should seek medical advice now.

Wishing you all the best day possible.

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Sun 03-Nov-24 07:40:24

My mum used to put pans around their caravan NannyJan containing a couple of inches of salt to draw the moisture from the air and prevent dampness in the curtains and furnishings. When they used to return in March the pans weee full of water - hence using pans as she could empty them more easily by the handles!

Good morning everyone from a grey, dry and mild Essex. A rude awakening for me this morning, the heating came on, followed immediately by the smoke alarms going off. Fortunately they stopped after a few seconds, but I got out of bed very quickly. Checked all the alarms and the carbon monoxide detector and all seemed ok. The smoke detectors were only installed 6 weeks ago so I hope they’re not going to make a habit of going off without reason.
Yesterday was fairly quiet, I did some dusting and will vacuum today. Not many fireworks last night, a few bangs, but nothing visible unfortunately. We always used to have big parties when my DDs were younger.
I need to do some washing today and vacuum everywhere so will be busy.
karma a very busy and strenuous day for you yesterday. I’m sure your allotment will soon be productive.
Have a good day everyone, hope we see the sun soon!

luluaugust Sun 03-Nov-24 07:44:50

Good morning from a cloudy W Kent. A really enjoyable family day yesterday with DGD2 for her 18th birthday celebration. DD2 had 16 to feed. I think I managed to talk to everyone including a long chat with DDIL and DD’s MIL.
Fish pie today with DB before he travels home and we return to everyday life
karmalady glad you got your allotment underway

Good morning everyone from another dull and dank day in Northampton. Yesterday didn't turn out too bad; it brightened up later on, and I was able to complete my shopping in finer weather.

My DSis is due to ring me later this morning after. a busy couple of days over her 70th birthday. Apparently the.flowers I sent her turned out well, as she sent me a photo of them.

Early afternoon I am off out to the cinema to see a concert performance of Phantom of the Opera; have never seen the whole musical, but know the music well.

Mick, please contact your surgery or hospital team; things need sorting.

Wishing all a pleasant Sunday.

Marydoll Sun 03-Nov-24 07:50:15

Good morning from an overcast Glasgow, where it is 10 °C.

Bonny, so sorry to hear about your sister. I hope she will soon be on the mend. 💐

Mick, I despair. Why will you not seek medical help? This has been going for far too long.

Good luck with the piano playing Ash.

Have a pleasant Sunday, everyone.

Good morning Mick and all from a 12c northwest coast.
I can now move on from puréed food to soft food, which is rather exciting, so am thinking cottage pie, fish pie etc.

Another quiet day ahead and went to bed astonishingly early for me last night, vivid dreams throughout. Was disappointed to wake up out of a dream in London on my way to the West End with my late DH and a meal..

Mick, I don’t think you read the thread you start and the good advice given🤔
Hope your sister is ok Bonnybanko nice pic FGT and thoughts to all🌺

Grandmabatty Sun 03-Nov-24 07:53:21

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 8° and looks damp. Mick definitely time to contact your medical team. Bonnybanko I'm sorry to hear about your sister. I hope she recovers soon.
FGT lovely photo. It makes me long for some Mediterranean sun.
Yesterday was a fairly busy day. I picked up art supplies for me and dgs2 who loves painting. I also picked up a science kit for dgs1 who enjoys experimenting. Then a trip to the garden centre for compost which is still in the back of my car. I donated to the poppy appeal while there and looked at the small Christmas trees grown in tubs. I fancy one for outside my front door. Later I made a pot of bolognaise sauce in the slow cooker and had some for dinner. All the housework and washing was done too.
Today I'll go to Aldi for a few things then potter about. If it dries up, I'll pot the rest of my bulbs. This afternoon I'll visit mum. I'll make a small lasagne with some of the bolognaise sauce. A quiet day. Have a good day all
