Good morning Mick and all from a dull northwest coast. My old friend arrived yesterday and as I am still in convalescent mode, just had a quiet time. Traybake meal in the evening, a constitutional walk around the block and watched In Celebration, a play by Lindsay Anderson, very well acted, but raised more questions than answers. Alan Bates looked gorgeous however, which helped…

Will take a cup of tea to friend and he will get back to his unpacking at home after his move. I will carry on resting. Now I’m making some progress, my sciatica has returned, thanks for that🙄

Thoughts to all as always 🌺

Good morning from a sunny NE, so bright when I woke up that I thought I had left a light on.
I was so tired yesterday, spent the afternoon sleeping on the sofa.
Nothing planned for today so just some tidying round and read my novel.
Ha e a good day.

Good morning everyone from Severnside. It should be a nicer day today.
I plan on getting washing out on the line and doing something about the weeds on the drive.
I bought a new microwave at the end of last week. My old one was quite big and the new one is much smaller.

Good wishes to you all 🍂🍂

Good morning all and the sun is streaming through the windows.☀️.

Enjoy Dunwich Liberty.
Hope your finger isn’t too painful GG. Still ok for tomorrow?
Good luck with the TV Marydoll. I have to be in attendance when my Dh is on the phone, as he can’t hear a thing.
Sar I hope your Dh get hearing aids AND WEARS THEM!

Chimes today rehearsing for our concerts.

My dgd4 has started rehearsals for their local Panto. She’s so excited and we’re looking forward to watching in a couple of weeks time. 🎭.

Take care all 🌻🍁

Good morning all from a gorgeous sunny but cold day here on the east coast of Fife. I’m afraid I’ve still got the lurgy and I’m on the Lemsip every 4 hrs I’ve also got Vicks rubbed on my chest, back and up my nose.

I’ve a lovely cleaner coming today she’s really brilliant. I’ll be having 3 rashers of bacon cooked in the airfryer, a poached egg and toast for breakfast, apart from the cold I’m feeling not too bad.

Have a good day my friends 💐💐

Oopsadaisy1 Mon 11-Nov-24 08:47:50

it’s sunny ! Long may it last, we haven’t seen any sun since we returned from Spain on the 31st October.

MissOops has a key stuck in her conservatory door, so MrOops is going over in a minute with some WD40, her hands are so bad that she can’t do anything about the key, hopefully it will come out easily. Our doors get a bit ‘sticky’ at this time of the year a quick squirt sorts them out.

I’m going to phone the ENT chap later this morning and see if I can get an appointment.

Hope everyone manages to enjoy your day.

Good morning from a much brighter County Durham.
Fitness dance class this morning and then some tidying in the garden. School pick up later and teatime with the primary school trio who are always full of energy and spark.
GD1 came away with a team bronze for British Gymnastics in Poland yesterday. Proud GMa moment, so do excuse me. She was a delight to watch but it really is so nerve wracking when you see what they do. I've included some pics, it's quite hard to make out their faces so I think it's safe enough. The second one shows them rehearsing.
I hope everyone has the best day possible and all those with worries find some relief.

Congratulations to your DGD Annypop a fantastic achievement! 👏👏

Good morning all. And at last the sun is shining! And I'm feeling 100% better than yesterday so thank goodness for that. I've never known a cold hit me that hard and I shall be so glad to see the back of it.
Nothing at all to report from here so I shall just sign off and settle back to read all your posts. Best wishes to all x

Good morning everyone!

It's 8.9C here.

The Remembrance Sunday was brilliant again here in little Appleby yesterday, starting at The Moot Hall. There was a gentleman being pushed in a wheelchair who recently celebrated turning 100 and he was one of the founders of the SAS!

What utterly gob-smacked me was I was stood next to a little gorgeous brown puppy who was very playful and happy and I was over her like a rash then as soon as the 2 minute silence started she actually sat against the wall, with a straight back dead still, then became playful again after! She KNOWS!

TheWeirdo Mon 11-Nov-24 09:03:29

I have today off work so am just bumming about, doing lots of reading, can't be bothered to drive anywhere so will go to the local shops.

Will definitely be having mugs of PG Tips with dunked bickies and bangers, mash, peas and gravy for tonight's dinner!

Congratulations Annypop you must be so proud of your granddaughter - such an achievement and well deserved after all the hours of training I imagine.

Good morning from West Sussex. It is brighter this morning so maybe I will be inspired to plant the multipack of bulbs - I had forgotten I bought them.
It’s been a bit of a week as DH’s strained leg muscle turned out to be a clot. We spent the day at our local hospital while he had scans and blood tests. He is now on blood thinners so I hope they will have an effect soon as he is in a lot of pain.
I am having a phase of ‘indecisiveness’, which tends to happen when I am stressed. I was thrown by having to choose a parking space in an almost empty car park the other day 😲
Lfl, that’s a horrible situation with your sons, and your daughter too. It’s hard when all you can do is stand back and be ready to give support if they ask for it.
Why are men so stubborn, Marydoll, and Sar? Mind you, the ‘system’ doesn’t help when they do finally do the sensible thing - my DH was referred back to the NHS re his hearing and, having been given the all-clear after a scan, he has to wait until at least January for new hearing aids and he had already waited several months for the scan. He will have been nearly a year without suitable aids.
The sun has broken through while I’ve been typing and it looks lovely out there. The autumn leaves are still glowing with colour. I must get outside! Hope everyone finds something beautiful in their world today.

Congratulations to your DGD Annypop

Well done to your DGD Annypop

Very envious FGT2. When we go to Malaga, we are on the front and can see the Marina from our balcony. Enjoy.

Good morning from a brighter Co Armagh
Yesterday was beautiful, we got strawberry plants moved , the living wall didn’t work so they are moved into the new raised bed , wire mesh is , hopefully, going to deter the local cats
Emptied the water butt and moved it into a shed , to stop it degrading in the frost
The greenhouse is nearly emptied , just a few cuttings still to pot up , but not yet
Now I’m full of aches !!

luluaugust Mon 11-Nov-24 09:48:43

Good morning from W Kent where we have had a little sun. I have been completely knocked out the last few days by the cold, flu? To end all colds. Surfaced enough to crawl out of bed and get a few things done hopefully.
Best wishes all round

Grandmabatty Mon 11-Nov-24 09:53:14

Congratulations to your dgd Anniepop. A real achievement. Regarding the rude nurse, I did say, "I'm here every Sunday" and she made a comment about how she doesn't usually work on Sundays with a tinkly laugh. I'm normally very friendly but was very straight faced. I don't want to complain in case she takes it out on mum who is almost non verbal now and very frail.

GrannySomerset Mon 11-Nov-24 09:56:36

Much brighter morning so hopefully we may even see some sun - about time, it has been grey skies here for the last fortnight, and very depressing it has been.

Domestic chores today as well as lots to read so not a lot to contemplate this morning. Sympathy to Marydoll and everyone dealing with a DH who refuses to believe he can’t hear. Very frustrating.

Redcar Mon 11-Nov-24 10:04:23

Good morning everyone from a sunny Essex. I think it’s cold out though, so will be a shock to my system when I go home to my DD1s later today. I’m getting ok with my exercises etc, need to practise on the stairs again before I am let out!
Well done to your DGD annypop you must be so proud of her.
I hope all those suffering from the nasty cold start to feel better soon.
Have the best day possible everyone, enjoy the sunshine, even if it’s not warm!

monk08 Mon 11-Nov-24 10:42:18

Well done yor DGD Annypop.
