Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but remains dry here in brackley .
If the conditions are like yesterday should be very foggy outside.
Plans have an easy day , presents to unwrap plus have a Wiltshire Farms ready made xmas lunch and xmas pudding .
Health wise I am OK.
Take Care,
Mick

Quiet day for me too down here in Devon. Hope weather holds out for me to have a walk…. Merry Christmas to all and health and happiness in the new year.

Good morning from s somerset, the weather looks fair for travelling

I watched the royal carol concert yesterday, it was lovely and it was wonderful to see the faces of so many entranced children

I knitted socks and just pottered, went to the plot during the morning, to plant some things and to get my daily dose of fresh air. It uplifted me for the rest of the day

I am joining family today

Happy Christmas

A happy Christmas to all on this wonderful thread - day in, day out, isn’t it just the most constant comforting thing where we come and share our stories 🤗

May you have the best day this year x

Nadelik Lowen to you all, from a mild, calm and especially quiet town centre somewhere in Cornwall (no buses or Biffa lorries today 😁).

Yesterday, we had the glorious assembly of around 100 male Cornish voices in our town square, just metres from my flat - a regular Christmas Eve event - singing carols, especially my favourite (Lyngham) version of While Shepherds Watched. As usual hundreds of people turned out to listen or join in.

Today my youngest son will collect me at 10 to go to my other son's house in a nearby village. We'll spend the day with my daughter-in-law's extended family. The four young children will add to the fun for all of us.

Thoughts for all those for whom Christmas is a trial.

Nadelik Lowen from a fellow Cornish woman! Not in Cornwall today, visiting family in faraway Birmingham. Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year everyone xx

Happy Christmas and Hanukkah to all.

I had a successful pre-cataract appointment yesterday, operation for mid January.
Busy afternoon as I attended DD’s crib service, dinner. I had made four pyjama bottoms for the family with an old duvet cover. They seemed to quite like them, May well be wearing them for the grand stocking opening in about 30 minutes.
Midnight mass and subsequent late bedtime. I didn’t sleep well.
Today, stockings, church then recap to SiL’s sister to spend the day there. I feel extraordinarily lonely with all the family. They are very sweet and kind but.,,
Have a wonderful day and I hope all hies well for you.
May the joy of Christmas fill your day,
Carpe diem 🎄🎄🎄🦩🦩

Merry Christmas from Malta where the weather is cold.

I watched Carols from Kings yesterday and loved it. Wasn’t so keen on the Royal concert.

Mass this morning then over to spend the day with DD3, her husband, his parents and,of course, the boys.

I had a lovely long FaceTime with DD2 and DGD yesterday. They are in Michigan spending Christmas with her in-laws. There was snow so DGD was thrilled!

Sending a big hug to you grandMattie. I can empathise with that feeling.💐

Wishing a good day to all.🎄

Good morning from Polmont where it's currently 11° and damp. GrandMattie 💐 I can sympathise with that feeling.
A very Merry Christmas to everyone. I'm going to dds for breakfast and to exchange presents. Then I'll visit mum. Later I'm going back to dds for Christmas dinner. Then home. Have a lovely day all

Greyduster Wed 25-Dec-24 07:14:37

Good Christmas Morning Michael and all GNs from a fairly mild South Yorkshire where I am first up. Family stayed last night which I wasn’t expecting - thought it would only be tonight - but it’s lovely. Pant your post brought a lump to my throat.
There is a very large pile of presents under the tree and I haven’t added mine to them yet!!
Have a wonderful Christmas Day, whatever you are all doing!

Merry Christmas from a still dark Durham. I’ve had pics from both DDs and it would seem ‘he’s been!’
DD2 and family due later to enjoy festive fizz outdoors, in the cul de sac, with neighbours, something started in lockdown and continued.

Best wishes to all. X

A foggy Christmas Day here in Oxfordshire.

We had our Christmas Day yesterday, when MzOops and the GCs get up this morning they will have an early lunch ( the GCs won’t get up until late) and then drive back to Cornwall, not ideal I know, but there you go. I will relax once they are safely home.
We had a lovely day yesterday though, MissOops also came to stay, dog is still poorly so is with Nephew who doesn’t want to see any of us over Christmas. Let’s hope he soon moves back to his own place where they will have installed some heating.

I hope everyone has a peaceful Christmas. Thanks Mick for opening every morning, it’s much appreciated.

Good morning and a Very Happy Christmas to Mick and everyone from our hotel in Madeira.
Enjoy the day and make lasting memories, much love xx

Jaxjacky Wed 25-Dec-24 07:30:43

Morning and a Happy Christmas you you all, especially you Mick 🎄
Thank you glammagran
Daughter and grandchildren will be picked up mid morning, friends for bacon rolls about 11, son and fiancée will call in later this afternoon.
May you all enjoy today in your own way.

M0nica Wed 25-Dec-24 07:33:09

Happy Christmas to all. We are having a quiet Christmas, just me, DH and DD, but it is the quiet before the storm. DS, DDiL and DGC are having this Christmas with her family and descend on us for a week on the 28th.

Ashcombe Wed 25-Dec-24 07:36:30

Good morning from a calm Torbay.

Like Greyduster, I was moved by your post, Pantglas2. We all appreciate Mick’s reliability in opening up every morning.

A quiet day for the two of us here but I would like to try a walk if my legs feel inclined later! The bruising from my recent mystery problem which put me in hospital continues to show interesting colours!

Bellasnana: I spent a year in Michigan in 1971/2 when the lack of snow was a disappointment to the ardent skiers!

Wishing everyone happy times in whatever company you are today. 🦩🎄🎁🎅🏼🦩
