Good Morning Everyone,
Its a dark start but a dry one but feels cold here in brackley .
Weather wise , locally very little in the way of snow settling locally , but at some point it will hit the area with a large amount .
The lamb curry is going well , the extra bite with the scotch bonnets ideal for this chilly winter .
My usual routine bus trip and hopefully see friend's.
Health front OK,
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from Lancashire. Still very cold but most of the snow has melted. The schools were closed yesterday, no idea why as most of the children live nearby. When did people become so soft?
Up early as usual and struggling to get warm, but better than lying in bed watching the minutes tick by.

My friend and I were the only teachers in our school, who lived locally.

One snowy day, my colleague and, I, with the help of a couple of support assistants, had to manage to cope with nearly two hundred children in the assembly hall.
None of the staff could get to school. Nothing to do with being soft, but with maintining safe levels of staffing. That happened a few times.

Also it might be you saw school kids out & about because it was an ‘inset day’ mumof3. Our Teacher Mummy was in work yesterday but the school wasn’t open for teaching yet it had nothing to do with the snow that was still lying!

Hello Kittylester I think we both live in the same place! Flooding the worst it's been for over 40 years in some parts of your village. Fortunately foe us, we are out of the 'wet' zone, but i really feel for the pub in the centre who have been deluged with sewage (again!) This pub is a fab community resource, they do free (I think( meals for elderly or isolated people in the period before Xmas, run a charity for local people. They did get a lot of support from the community last time they were 'sewaged' but their business still takes a massive hit. I really feel for anyone, anywhere affected by the flooding
