I can't be around the crowing for a minute longer but there are some nice chats here and it is a help with loneliness and isolation sometimes.

Thanks.

Farage?

Does hiding the thread mean there are no arguments against what he says? Or that he never says anything which is worthy of consideration eg re The Chagos Islands?

That's worrying!!

Fgs please will someone explain which threads instead of all this insinuation.
Gaza, Farage? Private schools? 😆
I'm obviously missing something.

Could be Starmer?

Just scroll past. It's not difficult.

I sense a bit of the ‘green.monster’ here. Just scroll past the ‘crows’ . Job done ..

When you hide a thread it is only temporary once someone comments it ll pop back up on your news feed again so easier just to walk on by

Surely you need to look at a thread before you can know whether or not you want to hide it?

Not it doesn’t.

At least not on my phone

Well who knew😊.

So much better for my blood pressure.

A very useful tool.

I hide all the games threads, they do not reappear when added to. Ipad and phone.

Some words may be triggering for individuals.
So i can understand the wish to hide some thread titles.
There is currently a discussion on MN about creepy and worse fathers lurking and invading bathrooms while girls are bathing.
There is a recurring theme of these men also forbidding locks on bathroom doors.
The ensuing discussion testifies to widespread abuse of girls in their own homes.

widespread?
The statistics may prove otherwise.

Taking the numbers of those who post on social media about the traumas or problems they have encountered is not representative enough to state that this is widespread.

However, it's a a good idea to hide threads which are triggering.

It shouldn't do.

It will appear on Active before you log on, but disappear once you log on.

I cannot take any threads on Gransnet so seriously that it would upset me that much, not so far anyway.

I can't do links on my mobile but it's worth everyone reading that thread on MN.
I can't precise it here.

welbeck Fri 07-Feb-25 20:05:40

It's titled
Dad hanging round outside bathroom.
In the Relationships section MN

Probably not.

Thanks all the same.

welbeck I can’t imagine anyone here wanting to read that MN thread but if they do am sure they’d find it themselves.
On GN all it takes is a mention of Farage for people to be triggered with the screaming heebyjeebies.

Well it does for me onmy iPad I spent an hour hour going through games hiding them a very long winded process but they all appeared back in a short time ( not immediately but by the next day)
