Good Morning Everyone,
A dark but dry start here in brackley this morning.
Today a nice easy day indoors with household tasks.
Plus I shall be watching cycling on TV as well .
Health wise OK.
Take Care,
Mick

Sounds like a wonderful birthday Annapops. Another here who loves Saltburn and the funicular.

Good morning Mick and all from a bright Berkshire. Lovely day with DD yesterday, a NT property, lunch, then a stately drive around the lovely countryside, so different to my flat fields at home in the north. The villages truly picturesque.
Dsister arrived in the evening and we had a fun meal together, lots of laughs, she’s very good company.

I was up with cramp in the night, which often happens after a couple of wines, I don’t know why…

Today off to see BIL (92) and SIL in Surrey and more books to pass on.
Glad you found your specs madeleine, hope to hear from Mizuna soon and thoughts to all.

Good morning all. It’s such a horrible day in Glasgow with heavy rain and high winds.

It was good to see some sunshine yesterday along with a visit from DD1 and DG2. Although cold outside we decided to have coffee in the garden room filled with sunshine and was warm and cosy. Millie dog was quite happy wandering around the garden and snoozing in the sun.
An at home day and will catch up with season 2 of The White Lotus. A pleasant escape into hot sunny weather.

Children are known to bounce back quickly Bella. I hope this is the case for your little GS.

Have a pleasant Sunday all, regardless of the weather.

A late 'Good morning all' from a grey, wet and very windy Angus coast because I had an excellent and long night's sleep.
Yesterday was such a lovely day. I basked in the sunshine in the front sun porch before retreating to the garden room on the other side of the house at about 4pm and not turning on the lamps until 6pm. Knowing what the weather has in store for today I determined to make the most of such a glorious day. Not exciting and newsworthy, I know 😉
What a great 70th birthday weekend Anna! Well done to your granddaughter too. She must have been so proud to play such an important part on such a big occasion.
Poor little twin Bella - such a big thing for a little one to have to go through.
My oldest DGS has reached the ripe old age of 32, but even so I am heart sore that he is having to go through a course of chemo, starting tomorrow. He had his long (and I mean long, as in half way down the back of his 6ft 4!) hair cut short the other day. That was another 'lump in the throat' moment. How I wish I lived nearer and could give him a 🫂. His hair has gone off to be made into a curly red wig for some other lucky poor soul, so that's to the good anyway.
Right. Pulls self together. Off I go. The day is getting blacker so I shall switch on some cheering lamps. Have a good day everyone, whether in sickness flowers or in health x

It’s not fair is it Taichinan we sort of expect the possibility of illness when we age, but the youngsters. I wish him well and hope the treatment is not too taxing.

Marydoll hasn’t posted for a few days. I hope there’s nothing serious going on! I do notice as she is a school friend of about 55 years! Overcast here in Ashford Kent. We are going out shortly to pick up my Christmas & 70th birthday present. My DH bought me an eternity ring ( after 33 years). We had to wait while one was made in my size. Waitrose after that and home to prepare venison meatballs for dinner.
Hope all GNers have a good Sunday.

I have just heard that a young relative has been diagnosed with Leukaemia.
She’s not quite 2.
Sometimes my faith is severely tested, and I know I shouldn’t say that but it’s how I feel.
My heart goes out to all who are ill themselves or have poorly relatives. I try to stay positive but sometimes it’s hard.
