There seems to be a need for it!

Post here what you are doing, if your day is boring.

I, and some others, will still find it interesting.

Productive day in the garden. Planting peonies which hopefully will flower next year. The soil is very hard as we have had little rain here for weeks. Now, a quiet night in waiting for antiques roadshow on bbc.

I went for a walk in the rain to look at the flooded creek. It's been ages since it rained so much. The GC are coming for their egg hunt tomorrow when hopefully the ford will be passable.

My day isn't at all boring today, so I can't comment πŸ˜‰

Well, I've got Christmas plates and dishes, Norah, but not Easter crockery!
There's posh for you 😁

Norah Mon 21-Apr-25 14:52:03

Easter is the most important period in the Church year, to my family. We're Catholic and observe Lent. Our Easter crockery is not posh - we wouldn't know posh if it came round for tea.

The sun came out, so I hung out some washing.

Greenfinch Mon 21-Apr-25 17:41:20

And then it rained so I brought my washing in.

I’ve just remembered to put the recycling bin out.

I'm new. A random goat and sheep showed up on my porch this morning.

Where do you live?
Not unusual in the Forest of Dean, although it's more likely to be a sheep and a wild boar 😁

Rather weary after my very boring day! I was very creaky this morning so took an age to even get up ,showered and dressed. Had intended to do some shopping or go out but didnt feel up to it, and the weather did not encourage doing anything, grey and miserable. . Looked in the fridge and then freezer, but no inspiration.

Friend rang and her daughter and friend had said they would come and dig out the poor budhlia that the wretched so called gardeners (who shouldnt have touched my small garden) had hacked badly, but they hadnt been able to come, but were free today. So went to pick them up in the car with their big fork and brought them here. Got my border fork and spade out to add to the tools with my big lopping shears too. They slogged hard to get it up, it was not going easily. They also dug up some big clumps of grass that were in the border, which I wasnt able to do myself. So very grateful for their help and they even chucked all the rubbish into the green bin.

I drove them home and then came back. Quite weary from watching them do it, and then have finally got round to making mince for tonights dinner and to have enough to freeze some for other days. Went through some papers and threw things out. Watched the news and some of the snooker match, and after such a shattering day am now off to bed!! This has been so boring to write about its making me tired.

Hi 2Greyhairs. You can only come on here if your day is boring. A visit by a sheep and goat is interesting and exciting πŸ˜‰

Mundane day ahead here: shopping and laundry and a bit of weeding. We needed the rain I know, but where did all those weeds come from. They seem to arrive as full grown plants!

My little seedlings are still in their trays, being moved in and out of the conservatory to harden them off. I’ll plant them out in a week or so and then stand back and watch the snails and slugs have their annual feast. No goats or sheep around here sadly!
