There seems to be a need for it!

Post here what you are doing, if your day is boring.

I, and some others, will still find it interesting.

I found a jar to hold the shampoo bottle upside down.

Good idea. Saves it dribbling. Today’s challenge will be finding a jar.

Playing catch-up after hanging washing on the line. Congratulations to crosstitchfan on the birth of your great-grandson (I have one of those too, 16 months old, but lives too far away for me to see very often) and on your eyesight. Other issues must be a worry, but keep on keeping on and get lots of cuddles from your g-g.
Now, lunch.

I’ve been shopping for new car mats and a boot cover for the dog..there is no more boring place than a car accessories store.

I’ve watered and fed my indoor plants. Seems to take forever.

Hollysteers, how does one open a packet of biscuits ?

I cut into the top of the wrapping with a very sharp knife.

Circled round my very small suitcase today “packing” for a few days away.
Started using a magnetic message board stuck to the fridge.
Cleaned out an evening bag which had become sticky with a left over boiled sweet.

Has the book Diary of a Provincial Lady been mentioned here?
Very similar to this thread.

I slice into it with a serrated knife about two biscuits along. Like cutting a Swiss roll.

Went to the supermarket.

The 'show' shelves which display goodies such as Easter eggs and other seasonal delights, were full of cleaning products ready for the Big Spring Clean.

I bought Eco washing liquid.
Thrilled, as it was on offer.

Caleo Sat 26-Apr-25 16:20:38

To open a packet of biscuits I will use my 'tomato knife', thanks.

I will try to clean off the top of my desk today so I can find the keyvoard and use the mouse again. My desk keeps morphing into a stack of folded laundry.

Allira Sat 26-Apr-25 19:21:34

tomato knife
Is it serrated?

J52 Sat 26-Apr-25 19:22:51

I thought it would be boring, but all sorts of things happened. So not contributing 😊

Taichinan Sat 26-Apr-25 20:01:42

Well, I'm bored. There's nothing I want to watch on TV and I've finished my book. But I had a couple of sausages with bubble & squeak for tea & that was quite interesting.

I've got a grapefruit knife.

Now, that is posh!

ixion Sat 26-Apr-25 20:49:52

Use my grapefruit knife for deseeding peppers.
No real grapefruits in the house since we went onto statins😡

Oh good idea!

I nearly binned mine as no longer of any use but I'll retrieve if from the back of the drawer and use for peppers 🙂

To Annie Bach
When you say ....I live in a nursing home, each day the same, do you mean all of the activities are the same?
Do you have any choice , such as sitting in the garden, watching TV, doing some knitting etc?
Perhaps there are benefits, such as not having to do cooking, washing, ironing and general cleaning? It does mean you have people to talk to.

merlotgran Sun 27-Apr-25 09:26:28

Why am I starving hungry today?
I’ve just had a bacon and mushroom bap and I’m already thinking about lunch. 😮😂

Mass.

After - interesting bits expressed about the Pope's funeral. I've not been to a funeral in several years - "rules" have changed.

Thank you so much! His birth has made my life much better as it confirms that life goes on.
I’m still breathing, so that’s good! 😀

Got to be done.

Taichinan Mon 28-Apr-25 08:37:30

I just saw the sun! It hasn't graced me with a morning visit for ages. It's gone now though.
