There seems to be a need for it!

Post here what you are doing, if your day is boring.

I, and some others, will still find it interesting.

I finally have a warm house and hot water coming out of the tap.

Bliss 😊

After 10 days it feels rather special.

Love them all. So easy to use. The onion ones are great and Bisto ones are usually vegetarian whereas supermarket’s own are often not.

Busy day today. Optician in the morning. I expected him to say my glasses needed changing but they are fine. He said my eyesight seems to have improved since my last visit. He will now be booking me for an annual checkup instead of every two years due to the fact I am now diabetic.
Late afternoon I saw my Oncologist. I have a Neuroendocrine tumour of the small intestine which has spread to my lymph nodes and liver. Surprisingly, my tumours have grown a little since my last scan three months ago, having been quiet for a good while before. No need to do anything else yet except monitor them. I have to go back in another three months unless anything changes.
So, a bit of a day of ‘wait and see’. Came home and had a stiff drink! Surprisingly I feel quite well in spite of the issues. Long may that last!
On a happy note, my beloved granddaughter gave birth to my first great-grandchild yesterday. A gorgeous boy. We are all over the moon and besotted already. Mummy and baby doing well. Daddy still can’t believe he has a son and has a silly grin on his face, bless him!
So, like much in life, bad news and good news.

I had to pop to the local supermarket for some basics and while there bought myself a little picnic to eat in the car.

Then I was so bored I just drove round and round the car park for a while...

Crossstichfan Congratulations on the birth of your great grandson.
Best wishes for your future health. Hope all will be well as possible for you. flowers

Crossstitchfan what a day of ups and downs ending in a wonderful high. How lovely!

fancythat Fri 25-Apr-25 09:18:16

Crossstitchfan, yes congratulations!

fancythat Fri 25-Apr-25 09:19:51

keepingquiet not sure if you are joking or not about driving round the car park!
I am useless at jokes.

I’ve just done something I never thought I’d do….Made a complaint to the BBC about a factual inaccuracy in a programme last night.

I must be bored. Time to get on with the gardening.

Ooh! That's quite exciting, though!
Are you Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells?

Not a boring morning so I won't mention it.
A quiet afternoon busily doing nothing.

Mollygo Fri 25-Apr-25 15:38:42

Took an outfit I thought looked good in, back to the shop.
Reason for return? DH’s face!

🤔 you trusted his judgement? 😯

Mollygo Fri 25-Apr-25 15:44:11

🤣🤣🤣
I’d have seen his face every time I wore it. I sent a pic to my sisters, who said I looked good in it, but sadly, too late!

Allira Fri 25-Apr-25 15:52:34

You could have worn it when you went out without him 😀

Harris27 Fri 25-Apr-25 15:53:16

I look forward to doing little after years of working. Feel my husband mightn’t be the same genre. Lovely days off but I’m worried retirement might be too many lazy days. Only time will tell.

ixion Fri 25-Apr-25 15:58:46

Ooh no. You can never have too many lazy days.

Thank you to everyone here who has made the word 'boring' sound aspirational respectable😉
