I was so happy to wake up this morning to a pretty blank day. Lots of time to read the papers, compulsively complete the crosswords and relax into a blissful TV binge. Boring but just what I like.
Sounds bloomin’ good to me!
I have just had a Tesco delivery of 28 items and put it away. Have chatted to one grandson who lives and works in Germany, then chatted to the partner of another grandson (local) and checked on my amazing granddaughter who is expecting my first great-grandchild in a week or so. Also spoke to one of my daughters, her mum, who is suffering with a bad back, bless her. Organised a birthday gift for my second grandson, by asking my other daughter for help! I am exhausted!
Still, when I think how many people don’t have family nearby, I thank God for mine, each and every day. And we all get on, too!!
I don’t want people to think we are like the Waltons, but we are very lucky. We do try to repay our luck in various charitable ways, and we respect that we all need time without family visitors but I wish with all my heart that families in the middle of feuds would realise that you only have family for a relatively short time, so make the most of them! I wouldn’t swap mine for all the tea in China! If I still had my late husband, life would be perfect, but perfection is pretty much impossible, don’t you agree?
That said, I am quite capable of, and enjoy, being boring sometimes and quite enjoy it!!
