I had a 20% offer through the door from Waitrose. I thought this was a mistake as we haven’t got a Waitrose within striking distance and they’ve never delivered to our humble postcode, but yay, they do now! I feel that our area’s been elevated- perhaps our house prices will be going up?

Rant alert! That's ruined my day 😁

Just put in an online order for Waitrose for Saturday and my offers run out on Wednesday.

Washing on the line and just sitting with the Merlin app identifying the birdsong.

Out this morning for coffee and toasted tea cake in the garden centre with my DH . Watching a lovely new Mum engage with her tiny infant. DH has Alzheimer's and today is a good day!!😄
Buying a few plants for my pots on the patio and we are home now and sitting in the shade enjoying Earl Grey tea. Birds are singing , garden reasonably tidy, sky is blue - perfect!

Getting the box with my summer clothes out of the wardrobe. The pleasure part was short lived as a lot of it didn't fit. It happens every time.

Home after a long train journey. Trains were fine, ran to time and not too busy. So good to be home!

Nearly 4 year old grandsons excitement when a rather tired droopy plant stood up tall and glossy a little while after he gave it a drink.

They shrink over the winter Sarnia 😂🤣 mine do too.

The never ending declutter continues. This morning I found a pair of trousers that were too small. They now fit perfectly 😎

Thankfully we have several, yes! I may be daft, but I'm not quite that daft...yet! 😂😂😂

I met a friend for a catch-up today. We sat outside with coffee and scones and had a good old natter. Glorious weather always adds to any pleasure.

Took some clothes back because they were too big! Haven’t had that pleasure for ages.

Sat under our pergola drinking a small glass of grapefruit cider. Scrumptious!

A very good art class, being encouraged to use much bolder colours than usual with a striking result. Most satisfying

Baby birds have hatched in our eves. They chatter away especially when they hear a sound that they hope is lunch on its way! It’s a cheerful sound! I think the parents are probably starlings but it’s hard to see them as they speed in and out against the bright sunshine.
I dried some washing on the line overnight- now how often can you do that in the uk?

Watched the solitary bees buzzing around my insect house this morning while drinking my morning tea outside on the patio - at least 20 of them at one time. Then planted up all my greenhouse tomatoes, aubergines and cucumber and transferred the excess to my mini-greenhouse until I can find a spot for them or give them away to neighbours. I also planted out some lettuces and sweet peas. I'm aching a bit now but feeling so satisfied and content.

Watching my dogs race through a field of daisies to greet my husband.

I made some coffee ice cream and it turned out well.

Washed some throws, cushions and cushion covers today and dried them on the line. They smell lovely and fresh again. I’ll give my halo a polish now 😂😂😂.

Did a stint in the garden, too, rearranging a few pots and rescuing some lily bulbs that something dug up through the night. I’ve put them into another pot for now and removed them to the greenhouse until they get stronger, and hopefully they’ll be safely away from whatever it was that got at them.

Washed a big heavy rug and it has dried beautifully.

Have found a home for some bits of Lego that never sell at the car boot sale.

Had some lovely local asparagus for tea.

I picked the perfect week to use on my holiday allowance, having a good spring clean!

Oh no, Allira, how annoying! Mine won’t run out. I’m already working on the order, determined to be the first household in the village to have a Waitrose van parked outside.

My tulips - the Sarah Raven combination attempt didn’t quite work, but nonetheless they are stunning.
