Good morning Mick and all who follow- I’m about to enjoy my chamberpot of Yorkshire Gold ☕️ before trotting out for a paper.

Yesterday was spent at Caernarfon Castle Food festival in glorious 🌞 listening to different bands playing as we wandered around dozens of stands - the artisan pies were 😋

Today will be spent pottering in PGTowers grounds assisting the Head Gardener with hedge trimming advice…always goes down well when I squint and tell him it’s not straight 🤣

Another hospital run tomorrow as my friend has a cataract consultation and won’t be able to drive afterwards but will be able to visit the Factory Outlet…🤗

A peaceful Sunday to you all with 💐 for all with troubles x

Good morning from Malta where the high is forecast to be 26°C.

Did a lot of housework yesterday and then made the mistake of clipping my dog’s claws. Took just a tiny bit too much off one of his back claws and it bled like mad. I dipped it in cornflour but he kept licking it off. My house resembled a scene from True Crime! Honestly, I don’t know how murderers manage to clean up as I washed the floors three times and am still not sure I’ve got it all!

Had a visit from DS and his lovely girlfriend who had brought me a beautiful orchid for Mother’s Day (which is today). I hope I don’t kill it off.

Last night DD3 took me to an open air concert to see Gigi d’Alessio, one of my favourite Italian singers. As always he didn’t disappoint and we had a lovely time.

Today we have a Mothers Day lunch with DD3’s in laws and family so I’ll get to see my beloved boys.

Wishing a good day to you all.☀️

Good morning from a dry Bristol.
I had to soak one of my new perennials as it was wilted, fortunately, it picked up afterwards.
I had a quiet day yesterday, but went to a concert in the evening. Wind instruments only; Gounod, Beethoven and R. Strauss wind concerti. Very pleasant.
Today, a PCC AGM after the service, then just a quiet afternoon.
I hope the FGTs are home safely and not too anxious, everyone else is free from pain or anxiety.
Have a blessed Sunday. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning from south Glos, a warm day ahead, yesterday there was a pleasant breeze. Tiddler and I had a lovely walk around the lanes while DH took bigger dog off for a much longer one from the next village.
I had a peaceful morning, did more pastel drawing and fiddled around with different techniques- it’s all very new to me and I’m really enjoying it.
Tiddler accompanied me, snoozing in her bed, such a little poppet, bigger dog prefers to lay on the patio or stay indoors.
Today more of the same, I must tackle the ironing first.
My roses and clematis are looking wonderful this year, the foxgloves are beginning to come into flower and I have so many bees.
A wonderful time of the year.
Take care everyone 🌹

Good morning all. A cloudy start to the day in Glasgow reaching a high of 22deg.

I had a busy day ticking off my garden to do task list yesterday. Warm enough too to wear shorts and a top. More of the same today with my cousin popping in for coffee at some point, I may be a long coffee break as we both talk non stop. 😁

Wishing everyone a pleasant Sunday especially those coping with illness and worries.

Good morning from bright South Lanarkshire.

Yesterday was spent in Edinburgh again as the DS’s eldest had her dancing school show. We looked after the others in the morning when the final rehearsal was on as DS was working and met DDoutL at lunchtime. The show was held in the small theatre of a city centre school which also had plenty of parking and a beautiful garden where we had a picnic lunch before the show and the children were able to run and play. Pretty much stress free and all the children taking part in the show performed with great enthusiasm. Our youngest GC was enthralled, never taking his eyes off the stage, I suspect he’ll be signed up when he’s old enough.

Have a lovely Mothers Day Bellasnana.

I am rather tired today though so it will be a quiet day after Mass later this morning.

Wishing everyone a good day, thinking of those with worries or illness to cope with.

Good morning from s somerset, waem and sunny today

I asked alexa, she said it was sunday today, I almost believed it is monday. Phew

Slow start today, I slept longer and soon will be prepping my tyres etc for a cycle ride. I have decided to do the longer ride supported by e bike battery. I still work but the battery is reassuring and my muscles need building again after winter

Busy yesterday, planting out and watering troughs. My autumn raspberries are flowering far too early and already developing berries. Some lifting involved yesterday and hence have some aches today, they will mostly wear off on my ride

What will I be doing this afternoon? I have no idea, maybe watch a dvd, I rather fancy watching gone with the wind again while I enjoy my sunday treat of a jam and cream scone and a large mug of tea. My favourite mugs are 600ml dunoon china mugs with lovely pink pelicans on them. A proper mug of tea

Have a good day

Good morning from a cloudy Torbay following overnight rain, as was forecast.

On first waking, I thought it was Monday, too, Mick!

Following the coffee morning we walked to the Downs and enjoyed seeing a few friendly faces, both along the way and in the pub where we enjoyed necessary refreshments!

Early service at church then a trip to Lidl beckons.

Thinking of those in pain or with worries. A blessed Sunday to you all. 🦩💐✝️🥰🦩

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from South Yorkshire where it is going to be another hot one. DS came down early yesterday and we opted to go for a walk before it got too hot and have lunch afterwards. We walked across the fields and along the river and he said he’d forgotten what a pretty walk it was. We had a long leisurely lunch and he cut my lawn and checked my car tyres before he went home. The house seemed very quiet when he’d gone. He makes his presence felt😊!
I am not doing anything in particular today. I have a book to finish, some knitting to get on with, and I must decide what to wear for a funeral we are going to in Wales tomorrow. We will be in the car a long time so it had better be something non- crease!
Have the best day you can folks.

brook2704 Sun 11-May-25 07:15:15

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s another gorgeous sunny day ahead
Enjoy your treat of tea and scone this afternoon karma you definitely deserve it
Yesterday afternoon I managed a quick hour in the garden, it was good to get back to it after a while. Lots of azaleas and rhododendrons in flower and colourful ground cover phlox filling the gaps. I’m hoping to do a bit more gardening today but first we’ve promised to go to DD2s to continue helping with unpacking boxes and putting things away.
Well done to your DGD with her dancing show baubles it’s such a big thing for them isn’t it. My DGD is busy practicing for her show in June which we’re all looking forward to
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 8° with sunshine and clouds in equal measure. Baubles the dance display sounds lovely.
Yesterday I had the sheets on the line by eight o'clock then I drove to Stirling to see ds. He lives in near a park in the traditional part of the town. We walked to the park which has a café with a good reputation. After coffee and a blether, we walked through the park and it was lovely to see how busy it was, dog walkers, children playing and a ladies football match on. Then we walked through quiet streets with avenues of trees. There was a yoga class in a grassy part too! It was very peaceful and so nice to be with my boy. He's now a director (junior partner) in the law firm he works for and I'm very proud. Back home, I ironed the bedding and remade my bed. I love the outdoor smell on bedding. My new curtains arrived and I managed to put them up then did the housework.
Today I will, yet again, prepare the house for after cataract surgery. I have a Tesco delivery coming with lots of ready meals to pop into the microwave to save me bending. Dd is determined to feed me too! I'll water the pots thoroughly as I won't be able to lift anything heavy for a while. I'm not expecting any visitors, so I shall potter about the rest of the day. Have a good day all

Redcar Sun 11-May-25 07:20:38

Good morning everyone from mid Essex. It’s sunny and mild, another warm day is forecast. Yesterday was very pleasant, although still with a cooling easterly breeze. I put some of the tomato plants outside to start hardening them off, I brought them in again in the evening, I don’t want to frighten them too much! The salad leaves are coming through now and I’ll have to put my dwarf bean seeds in so I can have some fresh veggies later in the summer.
I’m going to DD1s this afternoon as they are too busy in their garden to come to me! That’s fine, but I hate driving across town on Sundays, too many cars with impatient drivers!

I hope those who are poorly feel a little better today.
Have the best day possible everyone.

kittylester Sun 11-May-25 07:28:01

Good morning all. North Leicestershire is bright and sunny but the heating had also kicked.

Today I have to cook some gammon while DH is at the football. This is a real needle match, apparently. We also need to water the pots and put on the watering system.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Georgesgran Sun 11-May-25 07:29:47

Good Morning from Durham. Another fine, sunny day. After yesterday’s visit to a funfair and soft play with DGS2, in theory, I’m hoping for a quiet day of pottering in the house and garden and trying to keep the weight off my foot.

Best wishes to all. X

Grammaretto Sun 11-May-25 07:31:08

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders where it's sunny and bright.
I made myself a mug of tea and popped outside to check on the veg garden. chased away a pigeon

This afternoon my potters are coming to do a huge clearance of my pottery studio in advance of the move to new premises.

Yesterday my Chinese Helper and I half cleared the attic and took a carload of hopefully rubbish to the tip.

She leaves later this week so I have booked us a boat trip on Wednesday.

A surveyor is coming to do the home report on Tuesday.

It does help having sunshine doesn't it. How long can it last! 🌞

I hope Marydoll is enjoying her holiday and Bellasnanna her Mother's day.

All the best wishes for those who are struggling with worries and pain. flowers

monk08 Sun 11-May-25 07:41:09

Good morning all from a lovely sunny Black country.
Quiet day today before our busy week ahead.
The club had a 60s and 70s evening yesterday and it was great reminiscing what the songs reminded us of places and people some no longer with us.
Have the best day you can everyone whatever your plans ☀️.

luluaugust Sun 11-May-25 07:48:14

Good morning from a sunny W Kent. Unexpected surprise yesterday afternoon when DS and DIL popped in for tea and cake.
Today a chat to DB and will cook at lunchtime, hopefully a walk at some point. My tinnitus is bad at the moment I wondered if the high pollen count wasn’t helping
Best wishes to all

Ladyleftfieldlover Sun 11-May-25 07:52:57

Morning all from an already warm West Oxfordshire.

My knees are still aching from yesterday’s shenanigans in London! It was still a good day. The Face exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery was excellent.

Church this morning followed by lunch at our favourite riverside place. On the way home we may call into an Oxford Arts Weeks venue. There will be pots and jewellery!

Have a good day everyone. I am thinking of the FGT2S especially as they are no doubt trying not to worry about tomorrow’s appointment.

harrigran Sun 11-May-25 07:55:29

Good morning from a cottage up a track and beside a loch in Scotland.
The weather is good and it is so peaceful.
Need to do a grocery shop this morning as the fridge is empty, all the houses we have stayed in before have had welcome packs with milk, bread, biscuits and even bottles of wine.
The house has it's own jetty and boats, owns the Loch and has invited us to fish there. Might pass on the fishing.
Have a good day.

Liberty Sun 11-May-25 08:00:27

Good morning from another gloriously sunny Suffolk. We shall go for our morning dog walk sooner than usual because of the heat. We get on to the field paths directly from the back gate so no hot pavements for her.

DS and family were going to pop up later but since it is an hour’s journey and the roads going to the coast will be busy, I’m going to suggest that they stay at home. DH will do a roast chicken for dinner and we’ll have a peaceful day reading and napping….him not me. I’ve decided the ironing can wait for another day.

Marydoll Sun 11-May-25 08:07:55

Good morning all from the East Neuk of Fife.

I am very confused and couldn't decide where to post, but have decided to go with the flow.

Happy Mother's Day, Bella

GMB, I was delighted to read of your meet up with your son, that must have made you very happy. 💐

The weather in St Andrew's yesterday was glorious. We didn't have as much time there, as I would have liked. DH as is his usual habit, refused to look at the satnav, nor listen to advice and the journey took much longer than it should have,
This is despite having done this journey many times in the last forty years.
I kept texting DD in the back seat, saying, Now do you know what I mean about not listening? 🤣

We hadn't seen Bbydoll for over a week, due to her being on holiday. She was so happy to see us, but even happier to see Dollie, I was no longer the Queen Bee. 🤣
After a delicious and happy family meal^, I sat on a bench, benevolently watching my girls playing in the sand and the adults playing football.
I will need to post the pictures separately, they are on my phone and the WiFi isn't great..

Today DH and DS1 are playing golf (what else would they be doing?), Babydoll and her parents are spending the morning on the beach, DD, SIL and DIl are going for a coastal walk, and Dollie is gran's carer.
Dollie is escorting me to my favourite boutique, then we are going to visit the ice cream shop for a treat,
That way everyone is catered for.
Lunch is arranged in the golf club in Anstruther, then we may play boules on the beach. A nice relaxing afternoon.

I hope you all have a pleasant day and best wishes for all in the sick bay.

I have posted on the other thread.

I thought there were a lot of people missing and that I had missed some sort of happening .
