I wasn’t sure where to,post, then figured it didn’t really matter . It feels warm, rain and possibly a storm forecast later. The garden could do with the water, we’ll not be here to see it as it’s a family lunch today along two motorways where it might be fine.

Good morning all. There's a bit of cloud over the Angus coast but that is forecast to have burned off by 10am. These sunny days and beautiful evening skies are so wonderful - oh that they could last forever!
It was so lovely having DS here last week, but of course I'm missing him now. But not to worry - there's lots to keep me busy.
I hope Marydoll enjoyed her visit to St Andrews yesterday. It's a while since I've been there, but it's where I went to school, and where I spent my whole teaching career (all two years of it before I went off round the world with my RAF hubby!). In 'the olden days when I was young' the students all wore their red gowns as they moved around the town between lectures - very colourful and picturesque. Happy memories.
I do hope we hear from Madeleine again soon and that all is well with her.
Enjoy your cycle ride this morning karma - and a well earned cream tea this afternoon. Sounds lovely.

Yesterday MrB and agreed that I should concentrate on my physio exercises as the partly paralysed leg didn’t want to cooperate. So it was a morning, and part of the afternoon, of hamstring stretches, burpees, squats and other forms of physio torture 😁 The steam trains were running, as they do every Saturday in the summer, so we watched from the open window and waved to the driver and passengers.

More exercises today and a stroll later.

As always, my thoughts are with those under the weather or dealing with sorrow in their lives.

A relaxed day for me hopefully with a visit to a friend to a friend with memory problems this afternoon. They are getting worse now and her DH is doing well but beginning to show the strain a bit.

I have to kill another 35 minutes, lunch is ready in the fridge, scone is out of the freezer, cycling clothes all over my bed, decisions decisions what to wear as I will be cycling through some cool shade. Bottle of water ready. Tyres pumped and so am I, raring to go. I have been waiting for that feeling for weeks

Thank you ladies for your lovely messages. Karma, I am joyous. It's a good word to describe how I feel. Yesterday he blethered non stop for ages! I think he misses human contact and enjoyed the company. Dd and Dsil have invited him to come on holiday with us in the summer and he's seriously thinking about it. Thank you also for the good wishes for tomorrow.
Pots are watered and I'm off to weed.

Hello everyone, It's a bit overcast ☁️ in our little corner of Somerset, but that's ok as I spent most of the morning hacking branches of a tree which is looking a bit poorly. Hopefully that will help what's left to rejuvenate itself. As usual I hadn't intended to do more than a little light pruning so I wasn't wearing my gardening clogs or gloves! No wonder I have hands like a navvie. Now planning on sitting knitting while Himself cuts up said branches to take to the tip. Happy Sunday afternoon everyone.
