Good morning all from Glasgow, where it is 12°C and wet. We are fifteen minutes away from Kalu, but no sun. Isn't the weather strange?
GM, no wonder you are tired, you never stop! Try and have a rest today.
Yesterday, I had to to leave the theatre at the interval, I began to feel unwell and had to get out for air. It was hot and airless, I thought I was going to faint. My family weren't bothered about going back in, they hadn't been enjoying the show at all.
Initially, I was enjoying people watching, especially one young couple, who came into their row, carrying a pint of beer in each hand. We were highly amused at their attempts to sit down, without spilling it, because their seats kept springing back up! 🤣
Half way through the first half, the young woman stood up to go to the loo, as I had predicted on seeing so much beer. They were in the middle of the row and patrons had to stand up and get out of the row, to allow her to pass, thus blocking everyone's view. They were were not at all amused.
Meanwhile, her partner was frantically trying to juggle the beers. Unfortunately he tipped it over the head of a man, who was seated in the row in front.😱
The cup final was on and the station and city were very busy, therefore we decanted to a luxury hotel close to the theatre, until things calmed down. I could get used to this life of luxury!
Kalu, you will know the venue, it used to be the RAC club.
I had a delicious and refreshing mocktail and gradually began to feel a bit better.
DD had booked our local Indian restaurant, where we were joined by Dollie, who had spent the day with Babydoll.
Unfortunately, I couldn't manage to eat much, all the more for everyone else.
The original plan was that everyone would walk home, (they are all on fitness plans,) but the rain was torrential, therefore I became the local taxi service, ferrying everyone home in stages.
Due to the number of back seat drivers, I was transporting, I was becoming rather annoyed. DH was very close to being ejected from the taxi.😉
I was exhausted by the time, I got home, but delighted to have spent time with my family.
I'm off to Mass this morning, a busy day ahead.
I am training a new sacristan, doing an ID check for Disclosure Scotland, sorting fête raffle tickets, counting money and organising the transfer of bottles of alcohol donations from the church to the parish hall. Heaven knows, when I will get home.
I cannot do it tomorrow, due to unexpected childminding duties. The other parents usually look after Babydoll on a Monday, but DD's father is in Coronary Care.
I wish you all a pleasant day, whatever your plans.
