Good morning from a cloudy W Kent. Restocked the freezer yesterday with a visit to the farm shop butchers and then had a cup of tea with DS and family. Today I think DD2 may be dropping in otherwise a clearing up day, I have mislaid my hearing aid case
Best wishes

Marydol your beer story reminded me of something similar. I was seated on the same row in the theatre as a gentleman who was taken ill during the performance. As he tried to leave his seat he vomited..... very unfortunately, over the neck/back of the person in the seat in front of him.

Good morning all from a wet and windy Black country.
No plans today we never venture far on a bank holiday, I have a good stock of books so think reading will be on the agenda.
Roast lamb for dinner my favourite.
Thoughts with the FGTs, and Madeleine.
Have the best day you can everyone whatever your plans ☀️.

Good morning from a very windy NE where we had overnight rain.
All of my family are away on holiday, only SIL remains and he is returning to Brussels on Tuesday.
SIL will visit this afternoon and we will do a little shopping and then cook dinner together.
Enjoy your trip Pantglas, Beamish is great.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning, overcast and we just had a rain shower, it’ll be indoor tidying today, hopefully the garden later. I need to visit the farm shop for early potatoes and salad stuff.
Happy travels pantglas

Morning all from a sunny but windy north east. There will be a lot of sore heads this morning as fellow Sunderland supporters wake up. My trip back and forth yesterday was pick up mode for two who couldn’t make it to Wembley and watched at the stadium bar. but the atmosphere is just what the town needed.today a bit of gardening and a trip out to local cafe for lunch as a treat. Have a good day all.

BlueSaphire I have seen a couple of exerts from the The Phoenician Project and cast interviews, it’s meant to be rather out there hope you enjoy it.

Good morning from Sunnyside sandhills northwest coast.
Enjoyed a quiet day yesterday after my holiday. Planted nasturtium seeds in the front garden, which apparently anyone can grow. I however have a brown thumb rather than a green finger so don’t hold out much hope…

Did an online grocery shop arriving today as my general fatigue is still with me. Bending down planting seeds showed me how little my back can take.
Thoughts to all🌺

Lovely evening with DS and co, much talking so I slept well and only the sound of the shower has woken me. Sunny morning so they will take the dog for a good walk before heading back to London. Had better get up I think.

Good morning everyone from cloudy Lancashire. It’s not raining at the moment and the sun is peeking out occasionally. It’s still very windy.

No walk yesterday, it was just too wet and windy. I worked on my physio exercises instead and did some trainspotting through the window. The steam trains were able to run as the trackside undergrowth had had a good soaking and was no longer a fire hazard.

Beamish is wonderful Pantglas, though I was a little surprised to see items that were common during my childhood in a museum setting grin. Surely some mistake!

Thank you all for sharing your days, you paint such wonderful word pictures. I don’t have much to share at the moment but I’m enjoying calm peaceful days.

As always, my thoughts are with those under the weather or dealing with sorrow in their lives.

Wishing everyone a blessed Sunday🌹♥️

A late Good Morning from Shropshire. Takes a while to get sorted when there are ten of you in one house.
It’s overcast after early sunshine but we are off to Ludlow castle to see the Tudors.
Will come back to read all the news later. Wishing all a good day.

Morning from windy/damp/sunny South Lanarkshire. 12 year old DGD5 here for the weekend. We spent yesterday afternoon watching the last remaining episodes of Anne with an E which she has absolutely loved and then, with a hovering granny, she made fish and (oven) chips for our tea.
Unfortunately her ADHD medication was not in her bag so after mass we’ll take the train into Glasgow where DD will hand said meds over the barrier and we’ll take the same train back.
Who’s forgetful??.

Later on we’re going out for lunch to a really nice local restaurant to celebrate her very good report card. She has blossomed in her first year at High School, they have given her excellent support.

Lots of upbeat posts this morning, I hope everyone has a good day. Enjoy the birthday celebration baubles

Pantglass and Blossoming, the rebuilt 50’s coffee bar at Beamish is from a village near where I grew up. I remember it well 😂.
Hope all with illness and worries get some relief and happy travels to those on the move.

Good morning all,
A very breezy day here and a touch cooler. I’ve put some bedding on the line and it’s blowing well, so should soon be dry.
Church soon, then a relatively lazy day after a quick whizz round with the vacuum downstairs.
Enjoy your day.

My quiet day has just got busier, request from The Imp and the 10yr old, is the hot tub on, can we come and swim (it’s a large one)

DH has had it serviced and filled it up on Thursday, so now it’s back to wet towels, and five for dinner…

Maxinejane Sun 25-May-25 15:17:50
