Good morning all and it’s overcast but sun is forecast for later.

Yesterday was busy with shopping, gardening and two separate therapists. The OT did a few more tests with dh and is happy for him to drive again! He’s so delighted, it’s really given him a boost. We’ll take it easy!

Not much on today - I don’t think there’s a football match on for ds1 and Dh , so we’ll see how things develop.

I love the sound of your trip to Arran , baubles. Enjoy.

I need to return a parcel but need to get DIL to print if the label for me. A nuisance as our printer isn’t working.

Take care all and have a gentle day 🌼🪴

A quick hello from the Scottish Borders as I am running late.
My usual fish dinner for 2 turned into a dinner party last night with my German friend and my fellow
volunteer.

I also remember MASH fondly Blue I wonder if it's survived the test of time though.

Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Good morning all from a soggy Glasgow.

I crammed so much into yesterday. The church was absolutely full for the funeral, it was ages before I could leave. Part of the reason was updating my sacristan friend, who has been on holiday, on all the gossip, 😉

Then I had to trail to the surgery in horrendous traffic and on the way home stopped off at Morrison's. The shelves were bare, with very little fresh produce available. Unfortunately, I have seen this store deteriorating for months.
A late lunch and back out to order my prescriptions. Although one needs ordered every month, I cannot warn the pharmacy in advance and need to produce the script because it is a CD, before it can be ordered.
I am in so often, the staff suggested I get a job there! 😉

Just before, I settled down with a vino, I noticed a number of emails, from the P.P, one being a pastoral letter about the controversial restoration.
DH, surprisingly offered to help tidy it up to clarify some points. A minority of parishioners can be very critical. and DH is excellent at writing this type of report, after a lifetime in Local Government.

I am extremely weary in mind and body, and despite saying I plan to take a step back, it doesn't seem to be happening. I cannot say, No.
My current health situation is leaving me feeling so low, compounded by the fact that another two lesions have appeared on my tongue today.
I plan to pop into the dentist on Monday and beg for help.

This morning, I have a lot of uploading to do on the parish website, send out emails and work out how to make a 100 square sheet for the parish fête, that can be enlarged as much as possible. It is ages since I have done this on a photocopier, I fear there will be many attempts.🤣

Susan, I hope your DH has a lovely birthday.
Baubles, an adventure! Have a great day.
My daughter, who often holidays there, was once stuck on Arran for a week, when the ferry broke down. Her bosses were not amused! I hope you have a change of clothes with you, 🤣

Have the best day, you can folks.
A special mention, to those who have mountains to climb.💐

Good morning from a sunny W Kent, where DS and DIL are on their way to take us out for the day. It is DH’s birthday present. We are off to Folkestone first to view the art and then lunch. First time we have done anything so organised like this.
Happy birthday to Susan’s DH
Best wishes all round.

Good morning from Connel where I’m spending the weekend with DD3 and family except DGS1 who is in Toulouse playing rugby with/against a school Oban High is twinned with. He’ll be having a whale of a time but I’m missing seeing him!
In contrast I’m going to Lochgilphead in the rain to watch his sister play! Of course it’s great to be able to share this time with her but please God, give us an hour or so in the dry🤞😊

Lots going on today, I’m sure you’ll enjoy your trip to Arran with your group baubles whatever the weather but I wish you some sun.

I hear about Rushden Lakes from my sister in Corby BlueSapphire, enjoy your day.

Lovely first RosesandLilac, who knows what it could lead to!

I’m kind of with you on the Queen Bee and her court in the airing cupboard Redcar😂. My brother is a beekeeper though and I am getting braver/a little more knowledgeable.

I meant to say earlier in the week that I’m really happy for you Grandmabatty, what a special holiday to look forward to.

Wishing everyone a good weekend x

Good morning everyone from cloudy Lancashire.

It was sunny and warm yesterday, we went to collect yet another prescription from Morrisons Pharmacy and then had a walk down to the dock gates. We spotted these mallards catching some rays on the dockside. I daren’t get any closer in case I disturbed them.

Happy birthday to your DH Susan56.

Thinking of absent friends this morning flowers

As always, my thoughts are with those under the weather or dealing with sorrow in their lives.

I hope today is a better day for us all ♥️

Late start after a disturbed night; I think all the domestic concerns are catching up with me because I kept waking up worrying about problems which have been resolved, not a very constructive way to behave.

Nothing planned this weekend and as I won’t have the car back for a fortnight I am confined to the walkable which these days isn’t very far. Still, the lovely forecast means garden pottering will be a pleasure. Hope all the plans and celebrations mentioned on here are successful and that those unwell feel some respite.
