Truly disgusting photo in today’s Times 🤬

JenniferEccles, I’d be very interested to know where you’ve ever seen reports of leopards needing to be culled.

I just googled it Witzend and up came a list of pros and cons of culling the big cat population in Africa.

I thought you meant this one- this video - now that is also truly disgusting, 2 men lechering, Epstein and Trump.

I don't know if the venison is eaten Allira.
I do know, having recently witnessed a kill inadvertently that the chase is brutal, cruel and drawn out.
There must be more humane ways to kill the animal whether it is eaten or not.
There is no need for people to wear fancy clothes and sound horns as a part of reveling in the process.

I wonder why this story has been resurrected by The Times . It happened in 2012.

i don’t know much about game hunting so I’ve looked it up.
Apparently it is necessary at times to cull certain species, if, for example their numbers have increased to the point that they impact on livestock which support poor African communities.
Then of course there is the danger of these big cats to humans.

I’ve no idea whether Trump’s sons were on an organised shoot or not as I haven’t read the Times article, but after all the condemnation I wanted to suggest an alternative explanation.

The species that is out of hand and a danger to every other species on earth, is the human species.

Re. game birds, close to us they used to rear pheasants for shooting. They frequently came into our garden and were so fat they could hardly launch themselves off the ground to fly. (Great sport, idon’t think). Haven’t seen many recently so I think they have stopped breeding them.

I don’t believe for one moment leopards would be “culled” and if any animal needed to be destroyed for any other reason I’d expect professional or locals to be used, not the Trumps
