Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside sandhills northwest .
Two outings yesterday, the first to the usual lunchtime recital. Excellent pianist, but I wasn’t keen on the programme. Amazing how performers now use iPads for their music, cancelling the need for page turners. A very good turn out too.
Sat in the sun afterwards listening to an excellent baritone performing in the open.

In the evening to the first night of a local production, which was excellent. A very high standard indeed.
Glad to be at home today and have a catch up with chores etc,

I hope Iris makes a good recovery grandmattie, thoughts to Bella💐and birthday greetings Merlotgran

That's interesting karma, drunk would be a good description of their behaviour. They can't be getting in that state in my garden as my crabs aren't even colouring yet.
Incidentally, I did once have drunken butterflies in a former very large garden. I'd tossed out the very alcoholic remains of a rumtopf (?) jar on to my uncovered compost heap. Some days later I went that way and discovered the drunken butterflies, counting around 40 of them, some stretched wings outspread on the grass and bushes, others literally staggering around in the air and others greedily feeding on the fermenting fruit remains. What a sight it was! I felt guilty, hoping they weren't harmed or terminal. Wondered if they got hangovers!

Thank you all for the birthday wishes. The rain held off just long enough for a good look round. I’m glad I wore boots!

Good morning... afternoon for you!

I've been away visiting my daughter and family just outside of Victoria, BC for the last 10 days so haven't logged on here. Will have a catch up browse later.
