Any bets on rain any time soon?

(For those who haven’t seen any for far too long.)

I might put a few quid on Wimbledon fortnight, but possibly a tenner on late July - once the school holidays have started. Isn’t it often the case that real summer weather (even if too hot) turns to rainy and unsettled once the children are on their summer holidays?

The rain that was forecast for today last week is now looking unlikely, probably because we rescheduled our bbq!
Farmers are predicting sparse crops and the risk of wildfires in the nearby New Forest is high. Back up to the high 20’s by the end of the week, no significant rain for ten days or more, nothing we can do, but it’s not good.

A little drizzle here yesterday.

Meanwhile, in America, shocking floods in Texas where 51 people have died, including 15 children and another 27 children are missing from a summer camp 😥

I got caught out in the storm this morning (in the car) and it was quite frightening how quickly the roads were flooding. I was out on country lanes and had to keep changing my route. Even a main A road had flooded completely in places

Sane here JaneJudge The skies have just opened up here in Suffolk within 5 minutes there was about three inches on the road big old thunder storm but just rumbling in the distance now It was spraying up from the cars like a motor boat

The grass is still green here in mid Wales, and the Welsh reservoirs were at normal levels for the time of year last time I checked, although the rivers are low. We are having a beautiful summer. Sometimes it’s an advantage living in wet Wales.

Tipped with rain here (Cambridgeshire) all morning.

We had rain yesterday morning and it was grey and overcast in the afternoon, they had to delay the start of the Swansea Airshow, which is quite near us. Today has been overcast and breezy , I think it's nicer tomorrow for a few days. I like it sunny and warm but not that humidity that we had a few weeks ago, it drains you.

Apparently, according to my phone, it is cloudy and 20C here.

In fact it's sunny and breezy and feels warmer than 20C but that might be because I was gardening.

It's just vaguely damp here with fine drizzle on and off for the past couple of days.

East of England! Dry for months. Months rain in one day 🙈😂

We had thunder and a heavy downpour earlier - hooray! Then the sun came out and we thought that was it, but more thunder and another downpour a bit later.

I thought I’d make it rain again by going for a walk - plenty of dark cloud about - but alas it didn’t work. Obviously I shouldn’t have worn a rain jacket - just a thin summery top would probably have done the trick.
