Is it just me. I've lit my log burner. I've been cold all morning.
It got to 3 o'clock and I couldn't take any more. Its so dull and rainy, perhaps that makes it look cold. I live in Northumberland which doesn't help.
Anyone else feeling chilly?

I am in the S E and it is very windy, I put on a sweatshirt to pick up GC from school.

I’m in Durham Mini - not a million miles away from you. It’s cold, wet and miserable here too. I’m staying indoors.

Sago Tue 15-Jul-25 15:54:00

I’m in Lincolnshire it’s wet and breezy but all the doors and windows are open as it’s muggy.

It's wet and windy here in North Wales but still fairly warm.

Been wet here the last couple of days (just outside Edinburgh), but certainly not cold.

I am in Cambridgeshire. Certainly a lot cooler. I have put socks on my otherwise bare feet and pulled a denim jacket over a sleeveless top. It has been threateneing rain, but so far no sign of it. However I have shut a couple of windows.

We are sofa-surfing at DD's, as we are between houses and she has windows open all the time. Thankfully she has had to go up to the office in London today, so we have closed several.

It's very wet and windy but not that cold, 17C outside, apparently.
25C in the conservatory 🙂

Same in mid Wales. It’s still warm, and although it’s windy, the amount of rain has been pathetic here, just a light drizzle that is barely keeping the ground wet at all.

Allira Tue 15-Jul-25 16:01:27

We've got it all here, Casdon
I'm hoping the yellow lawns will green up again.

Casdon Tue 15-Jul-25 16:04:54

Allira, at this rate I’m going to be out in the drizzle with my raincoat on, watering my pots this evening, which is very annoying. I wish it would just bucket it down for the rest of today and be done with it.

HowVeryDareYou2 Tue 15-Jul-25 16:05:22

I'm in Nottingham and it rained for a few hours earlier. It's still muggy and we've got the back door wide open. Both wearing summer clothes.

MiniMoon Tue 15-Jul-25 16:05:44

Oh no! I've just remembered what the date is. It's St. Swithin's day.

I hadn't realised! It's throwing it down here again and it's very windy.

Well, that's cheered me up no end, MiniMoon 😁

I'm wondering whether to go outside with a very long broom and scrub the conservatory roof. And fetch the chair cushions in.

Shall I send some your way? 🌧

SWWales…chilly here and very heavy showers all day. Should be better tomorrow…so they say

BlueBelle Tue 15-Jul-25 17:36:14

East Anglia here and not cold at all, dull and a bit grey with the threat of rain, but still warm enough for short sleeves or no sleeve

jusnoneed Tue 15-Jul-25 18:18:57

Dorset here, no rain despite some very dark clouds all day. Very windy but still warm. Windows open.

Jaxjacky Tue 15-Jul-25 18:32:37

South Hampshire, 20 and windy, no shoes, short sleeves.

LadyGracie Tue 15-Jul-25 18:32:44

Here in SE Wales we’ve had heavy bursts of rain throughout the day, it’s quite windy and a little chilly, we’re promised a better day tomorrow

Allsorts Tue 15-Jul-25 18:35:56

We have had rain and its gone cooler, wonderful!

Bellanonna Tue 15-Jul-25 18:40:00

Here in the SE it’s been muggy with wind gusts up to 40mph. A pleasant interlude before the next heatwave.

Ziplok Tue 15-Jul-25 18:44:52

It’s raining steadily here at the moment. We’ve had showery weather on and off all day, but it’s becoming a bit more persistent now, with more of a breeze and definitely cooler (but by not means cold). I think the damp does make it feel chillier, but it’s not as cold as where you are MiniMoon, so no heating required yet.
The gardens here have been desperate for rain, so I’m happy to see it, especially as our region was declared to be in drought several weeks ago and now has a hosepipe ban.
