Lovely to read your update FGT enjoy tomorrow- there could be happy tears of relief along with laughter and cuddles. xx
Favorite slow cooker recipes and crowd-pleasing family dishes?
You must be old if you have a purse or a wallet.
In *soopās absence Iāve opened the door, fluffed the cushions and replenished the buffer.
Blossoming you have more patience than me with that bracelet, how delicate.
Tough times SueD I hope today went well for Thursday.
Yesterdayās quiz was a record 54 in attendance, not bad for a village on a Monday, we caught up with quiz mates, but failed to get in the top three. Before that I went to see a physiotherapist and came away with a bunch of knee exercises, Iāve crepitus apparently!
Today was washing, managed to whip it in before some rain unexpectedly came down.
With š¹to soop and others struggling.
Lovely to read your update FGT enjoy tomorrow- there could be happy tears of relief along with laughter and cuddles. xx
A very late Good Evening, lovely Kitchen people!
What a joy to hear FGTs happy news, a visit to the grandchildren will do you both a power of good.
SueD, enjoy your break and your catch up with your DD.
brook, hope you and your DH have a wonderful, š¶ wonderful šµ time in Copenhagen!
Grandmabatty, I hope your weekend is going well and you're getting things back to their rightful places.
I'm hoping and praying that all went well for Soop at the Beatson and she is now tucked up, comfy and cosy, in Oban. šš
I enjoyed my school pick up and pizza night with the Wee Boy yesterday, he came home on his scooter with the light up wheels. I miss the days when he came home on his Papa's mobility scooter...
I had a fall yesterday.. or do I just say, I fell ? Apparently the meanings are worlds apart. Anyway, I tripped and fell up my back door steps, skint my knees and shin and bruised my foot and my thumb. I lay there for a moment in an unladylike heap, hoping that none of the neighbours had noticed, until I gathered myself and staggered into the kitchen feeling sorry for myself. I think I'll have to see about getting a handrail for those steps...oh dear, I'm on the slippery slope.š¢ I felt a bit better after a cup of tea and some paracetamol.
Wishing everyone a peaceful Saturday evening and a good night's sleep. TOYA, NNGB.
Good evening , just in bed , very late for me, I have usually been asleep and awake again but things are different tonight,
I cooked myself a lovely meal and then watched The Thursday Murder Club which I enjoyed.
My GD was out at a friendās birthday but her BF came in before her and we sat chatting.
He is such a nice chap, I feel so happy for her to have met him.
I am so happy for FGT that she had her H back at home with her.
She can now look after him as she wishes.
A happy weekend ahead for them.
I am happily tired and hope I get more than my usual few hours.
My most sincere thoughts are with our dear kitcheners who are unwell or caring and indeed anyone who needs support.
Good night to you all.
Thatās wonderful news FGT. Just getting in before midnight to say thatās the best news all day xx
FGT hope you all have a lovely day
What a precious day for you today FGT I hope it fills all your hearts with joy and strength .
Just popping in to say that I hope the fgts gave had a lovely day and made lots of memories.
And that soop's son has arrived safe and well.
Pork is roasting in the oven, veggies all prepped, table laid.
I am enjoying a nice chilled white wine.
Hope that himself has had a good day with his family and of course FGT2 ššø
Thinking of our dear soop I hope she is comfortable and that her son is with her šø
Ach. It didnāt happen. Lāil Miss full of a cold so her mum (sensibly) said best leave it a few days. āIām so sorry mumā. It canāt be helped. The best laid plans and all that.
FaceTime instead again just now.
Himself is watching a very noisy film. Iām just delighted he has (a) the interest and (b) is sat on the sofa and not on the bed.
Small pleasures I treasure all of them these days. We rush about sometimes in life, busy, taking happy moments for granted. I donāt anymore thatās for sure. x
Fgt. What a shame but it sounds like you both had a lovely day
Thatās a real shame, but wise. Glad that little things are working for himself! X
Oh so sorry to hear that fgt but I bet you are enjoying 'normality'.
A sensible approach, FGT, children can be very generous with their germs! You'll see the wee family soon . Glad you're both content to appreciate life's small pleasures, I'm sure Himself is quite happy with your company and home comforts.š
Hoping everyone is having the best weekend possible. DS1 popped down yesterday, it was good to see him, but still strange to see DH's car parked at the gate again. I'm glad he's enjoying driving it.
It's been very windy here today, what we call," Good drying "! I've read/dozed most of the afternoon. A day of rest right enough!
Thinking of the Soops, hope they're enjoying time with Soop's son. Hope Blossoming is doing OK, thoughts to all with illness, worries or sorrow.
Hope the brooks are enjoying Copenhagen, and Grandmabatty's wee boys sleep well tonight!š“š“
FGT youāre doing the right thing. Treasure every moment.
Glad your man is home and enjoying simple pleasures.
Indeed Grannmarie
We call children ācute carriersā.
I also meant to say Iām thinking of Blossoming and her husband taking time out to make an important decision. I hope whatever you decide brings peace of mind dear lady.
And soop I hope the love from your darling husband, family and close friends will help to comfort and reassure you in the coming months. You are going through a tough time dear lady.
x
Fgt sorry your day with grandchildren didn't happen but it was for the best ,your Oh sounds content to be home hopefully he will be able to see gc.
Blossoming you will be welcomed back when ready
Granmarie hope you arn t too shook up by your fall/trip.
Best wishes to all.
As our dear soop would say FGT a buggeration indeed, but other precious moments.
Weāve had very good friends here to lunch, watched The Thursday Murder Club film eating our pud, both of which were most enjoyable, as was the company.
Then to the pub for meat draw, nil points, very busy so Iām not surprised.
I too am thinking of Blossoming and her husband at a difficult time, fingers crossed soop is back nearer home in Oban with her love.
I too am sorry that FGTās family day didnāt happen but a sensible decision. We are just back from a short city break to The Hague. Was relatively quiet but very easy to walk around as it is flat! Lovely to see the painting āGirl with the pearl earring ā but donāt know if it was worth the ā¬20 each for entry to the museum. Schiphol airport was the usual nightmare getting through security and passport control so slow! Very grateful to still be able to do these trips. Very autumnal here in Central Scotland today feel as if summer has gone. Best wishes to Soop.
A difficult day here for me, I am querying my Sās attitude towards me.
He lives here with his S and his other S has been here for seven weeks but has gone to his older brother tonight.
I donāt want to say much it is so personal but at 55 he seems to hold me responsible for all that has gone wrong in his life and that frankly is a lot.
I donāt know how to deal with it or come to terms with it.
Sorry to sound off on here but I donāt want to tell close family.
They will judge one of us!!
Have a good night if you can everyone.
Fgt , hope itās not too long till you get your cuddles.
Thinking of Blossoming, hope you come back soon, and that Soop is comfortable..
Dh and I had a lovely Sunday lunch in our favourite pub/restaurant with his brother and wife. It was her birthday on Friday , so a little celebration was had.
How disappointing that your day out had to be cancelled fgt but better safe than sorry!
I hope that soop is back in Oban and that her family have been able to visit her.
Feeling sorry for myself as I also have a cold and cough, donāt know where it came from as I havenāt seen the granddaughters this week! No doubt that once theyāre back at school this week theyāll all be streaming!
* grannmarie* I hope youāve recovered from your fall/trip.
Night night everyone, Iām having an early night as Iāve been coughing all day.
Reading about the buggerations that so many of us have to suffer, I feel quite ashamed to be feeling sorry for myself with just a cold. Apologies everyone!!
Colds are miserable, Redcar, youāre entitled to some sympathy.
Iām sorry your family get together didnāt happen, FGT. I hope Liāl Miss recovers quickly and you can make a new date. Xx
Sending thoughts to Blossoming for her decision-making and love to the Soops for their situation.
Iām sorry your ds has raised such difficulties, UTBB. Perhaps simply acknowledging that you hear what he is saying might help? Donāt try and defend yourself, even if you feel itās unfair. You could always say that you did your best with the knowledge/wisdom/tools you had at that time. A friend has been through a similar situation with her ds and now their relationship is very slowing defrosting.
Thank you to all whoāve thought of me, you are such kind people. In turn I am TOYA. Xxx
Lots of colds around. My DGS3 has just got over a cold and ear infection but fortunately they bounce back quickly, not like us old souls!
Hope you have your family day soon FGT and in the meantime enjoy the simple things in life.ā¤ļø
Our eldest DGS is 19 today canāt quite believe it.Same date as your GD JaxWe saw him yesterday as today heās going camping with his friends, making the most of his time before uni.
DH is trying to keep busy doing a bit of painting,he gets tired but as long as heās careful itās good for him.
Lots of love to Soop hope sheās comfortable and enjoys seeing her son.š»
Kind thoughts and hugs to all.
Happy Birthday to your grandson Yia šš„³š„ø arenāt youngsters hardy, going camping is a distant memory for me!
An average day on the phones, itās been sun or a deluge off and on all day, blinds open, blinds closed.
Imogen loved the cake we had made for her with her cat Oslo acknowledged.
Iāll catch up later after quiz.
