Hello Kitcheners I’m happier this Saturday than last when Himself was in isolation at the hospital with sepsis. What a difference a week can make eh? He’s watching the F1 qualifiers on his iPad and hoping to be picked up tomorrow by Teacher Mummy daughter to go over and see our Boy Wonder (now 13) and L’il Miss (not far off 9) he’s so looking forward to some hugs. He’s not seen them ‘in person’ apart from FaceTime for four months. He’s been so very poorly. It’s sad to think - a faulty oesophageal stent for 7 weeks that became corroded and had to be removed & replaced - necessitating 2 weeks in hospital and blood transfusions. Then a scan which devastatingly revealed tumour growth as the chemo clinical trial didn’t work. Then the sepsis.
But today he’s on the up. My wonderful strong man. He’s so positive mentally. And when he’s up, so am I.
Best wishes & hugs to all of you this weekend.
The sun is shining here in south Manchester and my heart today is lighter. You’ve all been so lovely I thought I’d share an update. x
