In *soop’s absence I’ve opened the door, fluffed the cushions and replenished the buffer.
Blossoming you have more patience than me with that bracelet, how delicate.
Tough times SueD I hope today went well for Thursday.
Yesterday’s quiz was a record 54 in attendance, not bad for a village on a Monday, we caught up with quiz mates, but failed to get in the top three. Before that I went to see a physiotherapist and came away with a bunch of knee exercises, I’ve crepitus apparently!
Today was washing, managed to whip it in before some rain unexpectedly came down.
With 🌹to soop and others struggling.

grannmarie I hope you don’t have to wait too long for your Strength and Balance classes. I sometimes think I could spend all day doing the various exercises for all the bits of me that need them!

grannygravy how disappointing that the soft furnishings are the wrong colour for your newly decorated grandchildren’s bedroom. I hope the new ones will be better.
I’m feeling a bit better this afternoon but dissuaded myself from doing some gardening! It will wait until I’m better.
Have an enjoyable evening everyone.

Hi kitchen pals, hope everyone is doing ok
A busy day here, the gym for a couple of classes, coffee with some friendly gym ladies and then a quick trip to DD2s on the way home. All good but I’m ready for a sit down now
Good to hear feeling a bit better today redcar and the antibiotics are starting to work their magic
Hoping the new curtains & duvet covers are a better match GG13 🤞
You’re doing so well with your Aquafit classes grannmarie and youve got your strength snd balance class lined up too - well done but sorry to hear about the insensitive car insurance renewal ❤️
A very respectful 3rd place in the quiz Jax 👍

Good evening Kitcheners. Grannygravy I chose the 'wrong' colours for my rooms based on what I thought was on the label. I hope you can put up with it. Grannmarie fingers crossed for your exercise class.
Today I fed the boys, dropped them off at school then headed to Tesco for some stuff. I returned home and did two washes, one of which was hung out for a while. Then tidied up the mess dgs1 had made. Hoovered, cleaned the bathroom sink, again courtesy of dgs1. Kitchen was tidied, dishwasher emptied and loaded then I hoovered.
In the afternoon, I left a bit early to get bourbon for Dsil, picked up the boys and home. I think dgs2 is coming down with something. He was very grumpy a lot of the time. Then nearly fell asleep in the car going home. I dropped them at home with a birthday cake dd had asked me to buy and a present for Dsil for tomorrow. Then home again. I've had dinner and I'll tidy up the kitchen again. I'll practise some Spanish before an early night. I wish you all well.

Hello kitchen people.

We are enjoying rainy Devon! We went to Castle Drogo today. What an amazing place. I drove us there and coming back was the most torrential rain I have driven in for years.

Sleep 💤 tight - especially the FGT2s.

Morning! There is light cloud in Suffolk, with rain forecast later. I hope I can get the last leg ad of washing done and dried, ready for holiday packing later.
We have a friend staying at the moment so lots of talking! I took her to Helmingham Hall yesterday where the gardens were delightful. We even got some Christmas shopping done in their tasteful shops! (Oops, I said the word …) All the walking has taken its toll on my hip and it was really painful in the night despite a good dose of painkillers. Roll on the surgery, although it will probably be late Spring.
I hope all the poorly folk are comfortable and everyone has the best day possible.

Hi kitchen pals, it’s stayed dry here in Inverness although we’ve had heavy grey clouds most of the day
Hope the rain has stopped in Devon llfl and the sun has come out at least briefly for your holiday.
You’re getting organised early nannytopsy, well done. I noticed yesterday that the seasonal aisle in Tesco had just been set up, saw the first mince pies, Christmas slices and shortbread tins were already out
Hope the birthdays have gone well today grandmabatty with lots of cake involved
I’m just home after a busy day, firstly a volunteering session that lasted all morning. It went well with all the medical students being very kind and capable but I was the only volunteer patient in today and I much prefer it when there’s others there as well, not so intimidating! Then a quick change and off to the gym for line dancing. I’m getting to enjoy it much more than I thought I would as the instructor seems to use quite modern music and new choreography. After that I walked into town, stopped for a coffee at my favourite cafe and as I was leaving the chap behind the counter gave me a bag and said there’s a wee treat of a tiramisu croissant for you - so kind of him. To be fair they were probably only going to throw them away but it was still very nice of him! Bus home and now just need to put together a quick warm chicken and rice salad then done for today.
Thinking especially of our dearest soop, blossoming, fgt and all other Kitcheners in the quiet corner, gentle hugs to all x

Grandmabatty Wed 10-Sept-25 19:03:24

Brook that sounds like a good day, particularly the tiramisu croissant!
I worked for an hour this morning in the library then pottered about the house until it was time to leave. A quick visit to my brother with his birthday present ( no cake) then I headed to Stirling for lunch. There were five of us all catching up so lots of chat. I didn't get home until late afternoon. It was really pleasant.
Tonight I'm watching The Godfather which is one of my favourite films. I will be lazy I think. Have a good evening Kitcheners

Wet, wet, wet today, as was last night, so I had to focus on domestic tasks and faff online.
I do a stretch and balance class Grannmarie look up 6 exercises recommended by physiotherapist, I try to do these each day - maybe check firsts it’s not too much.
Tiramisu croissant 🙂

Redcar Wed 10-Sept-25 19:39:30

Brilliant news*baggs*! So pleased that soop is home at last! Love to you and to soop.

I’m feeling better but still coughing., and the antibiotics are having their usual effect on my digestive system! As long as they clear the infection I don’t care!

I did some basic housework today, swept and mopped all the hard floors so felt quite virtuous! I also cleaned the hob, it’s all shiny again.
Not sure about a tiramisu croissant brook, was it tasty?
Enjoy the evening everyone, I can hear rain on the windows - hurray, more needed for tomorrow please! I might actually be able to dig out some old roots soon.

How wonderful to hear Soop is home where she belongs
There is nothing to compare with your own home and your own bed.
I am so happy for her and her dear husband.
I hope good reliable help is forthcoming and is what they need and not intrusive.
My best wishes go to them and all of you who need them.
