My garden has got a bit ragged due to illness etc.

Someone has quoted to:
- remove all the large plants that have sprung up around my small pond and replant with new rock plants round the edge.
- cut back the climbers that have gone a bit wild along my side fence with ruised bed beneath - may be 10 metres.
- put down a membrane on a very small area (c.6 feet by 4) and plant creeping thyme and blue star creeper.
- tidy up a 10 metre long very narrow path edge and remove the decorative stones so that it goes back to grass.
- sort out my pot garden on the gravel at the front of the house - there are probably 20 pots of varying sizes that need dead plants removed and replaced, top dressing and weeding.

He is quoting £425 for a day with 2 people.

How does that sound to you?

Sounds thoroughly successful!

Gosh! Send them here to France. We need help with our garden and cannot get anyone.... We have asked but the gardeners are all busy/have too much work.

The £15 an hour my hubby was charging before he retired 2 years ago seems a little paltry. Several of his customers complained bitterly when he increased it from £14 to £15.

They did not stop all day and just got on with it .... everything I had asked. Phew.
Thank you Ernie for the dosh!

That’s brilliant Luckygirl!

It’s such a relief when tradesmen turn up and do a good job

How’s the garden looking now Luckygirl?

It's good! They did all that I asked so were worth the money. They are coming back later in the year to mow my wild flower areas.
