What sort of people do you avoid?

I saw this thread on Twitter and it got me thinking. I suppose that I tend to avoid loud people. That's just an instinctive reaction. I'm sure there are other more subtle reasons though.

Oh dear- I’m a bit of a hugger. Maybe it is different where we live because many of us are. It is a normal way of greeting friends.

My dog always tries to join in a hug. Would this be okay where you live?

Racists

Misogynists
Trump supporters

Am I mistaken or don't those characteristics tend to coincide in the same individuals?

Mean people
Loud people
Racists
Bigots
Little Englanders
Nosey people
Reform supporters or anybody who thinks the current littering the streets with national flags and the vandalism of our streets is just ‘patriotism’

The list is endless for various reasons regarding people I dislike or avoid. I prefer down to earth honest and direct people whatever their background best.

Dogs tend to jump on my knee- even large ones. Friends laugh about it. So the answer is probably yes.

I intensely dislike people who gossip. Also: people who stand too close, get in my space or try to maintain eye contact. And don’t dare touch me unless you are a close friend or relative.

I wouldn’t mind a dog hug so long as the dog wasn’t a drooler. I’d prefer a cat hug though and have been trying to encourage my cat to hug me for the last 5 years. The look of disdain he gives me is unmistakeable. Ah well…..

Not keen on being hugged apart from family but I don't "intensely dislike" anyone.

sarcastic people who don`t offer any positivity

energy drainers

negative people

misery talkers, misery likes company, well they don`t get my company

My days of giving my energy to the takers are well and truly over

People with unruly dogs.
People who continually talk about their perfect families.
Moaners.
Scruffy people.
Show-offs.

Don't all the people posting who they "avoid" fall into one of two of your categories?

Men when out at night, and pretty soon it won’t need to be night when it becomes dark.

Why?
They’re not all muggers and rapists.confused

True, but you cannot tell which is which, hence the fear especially if you are a woman and alone.
Daytime is safer as there are usually more people about.
Being old in itself also makes peoples easy targets.

It was soon after Sarah Everard was abducted one night ,when the then government were saying our streets needed to be better lit up to make us safer, that my local council decided to save money by fitting our lamp posts with exceedingly dim lights. The only thing they light up is themselves.

I would be nervous, so I just don't do it.
