It’s been a busy day here with volunteering, I called into DD2s late afternoon as she’s asked to borrow something, I thought I’d be staying for a cuppa but she was ‘too busy and just going out’ so no joy there 🤣

My last night of respite care. I have been well looked after here, and feel so much better than I did when I arrived! I am very happy to be going home tomorrow, but also somewhat anxious. I have spent so much time in hospital this year that this feels like a big step.

I’m grateful for the care that has enabled me to return home, and I am conscious of how lucky I am to have reached this point. My heart goes out to the FGT2s and the Soops, who are going through so much at the moment.

Home yesterday teatime after a very active holiday, we walked miles sightseeing every day. Good homeward journey, it was nice to see some sunshine ☀ when we landed in Edinburgh cos Geneva was very overcast, no sun til we went to the French Alps.

A day at home now, holiday washing on the go. I realise that I was struggling with the walking on holiday and particularly in the airport, so I'm feeling quite tired today. I'll go back to my Aquafit and Strength and Balance classes next week, need to try to build up some stamina.

So sad to read FGTs post, hoping and praying that they are soon reunited and Himself is comfortable and pain free. 🙏💕🕯

Well done Blossoming one day at a time as they say.
I also wonder about the Soops and hope they are settled together in their home and enjoying quiet pleasures.
The same warm wishes go to the FGTs that they are home together again.
For many of us this revives memories of our own difficult times.
I am out for an early meal with my friend up the road, as opposed to my friend across the road, her D and SiL are visiting to take her out for a birthday meal.
The day is next Wednesday but they cannot do that.
I haven’t seen her D for probably 30 years and never met the SiL, it is a second marriage for them both.
I am slightly apprehensive but I can talk for England so no silent pauses, I shall fill them.

Thanks all, dentist was at 9, tooth out and stitched, immediate denture in place, I’m slightly uncomfortable, but no pain.

My DH is fairly well but a bit low,I think the holiday gave him a goal also he has a lot to contend with.The blood platelets are still low so it looks like they will try an infusion next.Even so I’m so thankful that he still manages to get out and about long may it last.🤞

We are trying to arrange for the kitten we helped to come to the U.K. I’ve wanted a cat for a long time and it would be so good to give him a home.Its a difficult process but the cat charities in Corfu are helping.They are amazing and I’m doing some fundraising to help them.

My love and thoughts to FGT I hope himself is home and back to your TLC.❤️

I can definitely recommend Copenhagen gransmadinosaur and Madrid is good too - I know what you mean about decisions though, we tend to look for a good deal first and then location, we’ve just booked 3 nights in Vienna for November with Jet2
A busy day here again, the gym this morning then lunch at Costa with my pal. They had a technical problem and it was cash only, I’m not used to that these days. I rummaged about and found a couple of fivers, but then ended up with a handful of small change that I don’t know when I’ll use 🤷‍♀️

Good evening dear Kitcheners. I’m home safe and feeling rather overwhelmed with everything that’s happened. MrB took me to Lytham to blow away some cobwebs with a walk along the front. Thank you all for your support.

Good evening.
I am back from my evening out with my friend and her family.
It was lovely actually, the Italian restaurant was good, too big portions for my friends and I but enjoyable.
We just had one drink and then went back to my friend’s house where 3 of us had another glass of wine and my friend had a cup of coffee
Speaking honestly she was a bit overwhelmed by the end of the evening, she very rarely socialises and only with family.
However she did enjoy even if she listened more than participating.
I am in bed now catching up with all your doings.

Read every day but don't post much. Just letting FGT know there are so many people who care. It's late and not many probably on line. Just wanted to send good wishes. Such an awful path to walk. Sending hugs.
