We are always being urged to do this aren’t we? Sometimes, rather like when I am instructed to “Have a nice day !” and I’m tempted to growl “ No thank you, I have other plans” my reaction to carpe diem is similar. So here is some much more sensible advice.
Please don't flounceGrannyGravy13. I was overthinking earlier how much better GNetters had got at perusing light-hearted comments, and giving a wry smile, if they disagreed. I don't read Good morning. It sounds like it's a small minority who are upset, but I guess that's enough to unsettle things.
I think social media has created a problem. Well several.
One is, people find it easier to write their upsets.
In real life, people walk away from conversations, and may feel a bit upset by what someone has siad. But would rarely go back and tell that person. And may even forget all about it. Not the same on social media.
The cartoon amused me. Anything that raises a smile around here is welcome. I didn’t link it with the GM thread where I’ve been known to wish people a good day. Am I just slow to make links? No I don’t think so. There was I am certain no intention to cause offence or criticise, no need for any upset or tension. I’m off to have lunch at a favourite place, there may be a glass of wine .
