Can anyone recommend a board game that I might buy for my family to play this Christmas? Thank you

1summer

A really good but old board game is Bonanza. It’s a card based board game. I think you can get it on EBay.
A fun game which we played a few years ago and now a family favourite is What’s in the Bag but not a board game.

Do you mean Bonanza (as per the TV series) or Bohnanza (a card game with beans)? I've spotted both, the first is very rare and expensive, the second looks fun and I've ordered it.

1summer meant the older game which they like but I thought she meant the card game (as we have that and like it!). I didn't know about the board game.

If you play the beans game you must keep on trading as the "chaos" makes it more fun, more interesting, (and I think you tend to find you are more likely to win)!

Another vote for Quirkle; three generations of our family enjoy playing this, & those of us who aren't keen on strategy can just treat it like a giant quirky game of dominoes!

Because our 11-yr-old granddaughter is currently obsessed with maps & flags, we've just bought The World Game, which we're looking forward to trying out this Christmas

Your GD may like Mapominoes. purchased from OS. .
Cheering on anyone who likes maps.

Love the beans game.

No sitting around waiting for your turn. 😬
