Good morning to all the night owls
I m late waking this morning and seem to have missed my
3 am slot however 4.30 am will do ( 4 and a half hours is positively a very long sleep for me) who knows I might even drop of again for a doze before I get up at 6 ready for some work
So who s around ?
Doze not dose
Me too, and it's a chilly night.....wearing my big fleece and trousers to keep warm! Radio 3 Unwind on.
Woke up at 2 again after a couple of hours sleep. Persuaded myself that I didn’t need a wee, and needed to go back to sleep! It sometimes works - it did last night. My energy levels are so much better after “enough” sleep!
It infuriates me when I read how to stay well in later life; the*first thing mentioned is a good nights’ sleep. If only!
I agree with the others re. herpes on the eyelid, straight to the GP.
Hi everyone! I’ve been dozing since about 3, I’ve got a headache now 🙄
It’s raining steadily so I’m not doing my volunteer stint in the school garden today, there’s little to do at this time of year anyway.
Herpes on your eyelid sounds very painful and definitely needs medical attention.
6.30 now and I haven't slept yet. My right leg is troubling ne again (restless leg syndrome). I'll get up at half past nine, cook breakfast and then have a nap. It's good to be part of the 3 am crew, I know I'm not on my own. Cheers, everyone.
I ve never known much about restless leg syndrome does your leg actually keep moving or does it feel like its moving It always sounds horrible is it painful
It’s nasty when you get a completely sleepless night I haven’t had one for a long long time and when I did have them it was not through a reason just simply lay there for the whole night without an ounce of sleep in me I m a great believer in not worrying but accepting and just going with it Nit easy if you’re in pain though
Good morning early birds.
A better night for me, asleep from 9;30 to 11 then from about 1 until 3, had a loo visit ,than back almost straight away until now.
The best for some time.
Feels milder again.
An on and off night, more wide awake than not! My resolve to stay away from the iPad held - just. I’ll give it a few more nights and if no improvement revert to reading. I need my head this morning, now I wonder where I left it.
Hi thank you everyone for your concern re my cold sore, it seems to be on the mend and is no longer painful thank goodness.
I woke at 2am, fed up of turning and tossing i took half a travel sickness tablet then remembered they take 2 hours to kick in ! I finally fell back to sleep at 5 and slept until 7.30. I’ll probably feel better for it later.
Hairdressers today and bedding to change.
A bit late today calling in. I slept from 9 till 12.45 last night then from 2 till 7.30!! A one off. I have a brushed cotton duvet cover on and maybe I was just a lot warmer last night.
I had to get my skates on to get going and wash my hair ready for the hairdresser who was coming at 8.30 but arrived at 8.20. I feel more rested for some extra hours sleep.
Ironing and hoovering this afternoon. Too wet to go for a walk.
Well I was wide awake again at 3.45 for about 2 hours then slept till 7.30. I don't know how that cat makes so much noise cleaning himself in the night compared to during the day. What a racket!
Yawn…….I’m bored with myself for not being able to get back to sleep 😵💫 so made a hot drink.
I did fall asleep quickly but a couple of hours ago I woke up and 🤷🏼♀️
I was so restless I kicked the duvet right off the bed, no mean feat when it’s a king size one on a double bed!
Anyway, it’s raining, quelle surprise, and the main road down into the valley is blocked by several fallen trees according to the local Facebook page.
Hopefully I will get back to sleep soon…….
Text book 3am awake! Trip to the loo, now what am I going to do with myself for the next 4 hours
I think I've been asleep for a few hours at least, but when you can't remember going off and exactly being awake you can never be sure, unless wearing a watch that reveals all that.
Just got my ☕️. Shall do a bit of scrolling then hopefully nod off till 6, got an Ocado delivery 6.30ish so need to be up then lol.
I'm awake again. I see from a missed message I should have been at a Christmas social last night. I'm losing the plot.
Why do worries loom large in the wee hours?
I'm going to try to go back to sleep.
Yes, ,I’ve often wondered that about worries granmaretto yet during the day the same worry becomes less of a worry, I usually have worked it out or it’s just not as bad as it seems in the day.
Hello to anyone out there who's awake and wishes they were asleep.
. I've made a camomile, honey and ginger tea. Hoping to get a few more hours sleep but since moving house I wake up feeling anxious.
An old friend is coming for coffee at 10.30 today so perhaps talking to her will help.
Bye for now.
Hi
I’ve been awake all night. Arghhhhhhhh!
I’m soooooo down in the dumps lately.
These dark wet days don’t help and those blooming jolly Christmas adverts! X
Hello everyone. Got through till four. Suddenly wide awake. Why?
Going to see friends this afternoon. It will make a change.
Waiting a while before making a cup of tea.
I m the same liase woke at 4 exactly which is fairly good for me just been lying thinking ( as you do) managed 11.30 to 4 which is pretty OK for me
Off to work at 8 which I m so looking forward to as i ve just done so little over the weekend because of the awful weather
I ve really done nothing and seen no body and so bored with it all
Morning! I slept from midnight to 3.30am and I have been wide awake since. I have lost about £200 to Numan after a mix up with changing my mounjaro prescription. They are intransigent but who can tell if it’s a person or a bot?
We now have a funeral to attend on 19th - my quieter, get-all-the-jobs-done week is disappearing as we shall have to go up the day before. That’s the second recently. My mum would have said there will be a third.
We have a village lunch today for “the pensioners “. At 69, I am the youngest of the team who fund raise for it and organise it. That says a lot about the demographic of our village!
Time to snuggle down and try for a couple more hours.
I managed about 6 hours, which is brilliant! It’s the 2 am call that annoys me, but thankfully usually manage to go back to sleep.
This is a very popular thread. Well done BlueBelle.
BTW, why “bluebelle”? I love them and at my birthday, and the two things I like to have/see are bluebells and eat my first local asparagus!
I also had a lazy day yesterday. The weather was so bad I did a few tasks in the morning, cooked dinner and binged watched Rivals on Netflix. At least it was funny. Hope we all have a more interesting day today.
I very very naughtily took a couple of bulbs out of some woods about 45 years ago, long, long before there were rules about taking wild flowers etc and popped them in my garden they obviously multiplied over the years and in spring I have a garden literally full of bluebells which I love Grandmatte, as they die off Lily of the valley take over and then it smells so beautiful
Good morning. Awake at 4.15 this morning. I’ve not had much sleep because I didn’t get to sleep until about 11pm very unlike me, I seem to getting worse !
Never mind ploughing on. It’s forecast to be sunny today so we’re off shopping to our closet big city, it’s two years since we last visited and it’s only five miles away. We’re not big shoppers.
