Health wise OK ,
Take Care,
Mick
Good morning from a bright blue skied Black Country.
Same yesterday, but very cold. Line Dancing in the afternoon warmed me up!
Walking group walk this morning. The Thursday group do extra walks on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays in the month. Then I need to drive over to Mums this afternoon to take her food shopping, and top up her tables in the Dossett box.
MrJ has a hospital appointment this morning to look at a suspicious lump on his head.
Wishing you all the best day possible.
Madeleine I think you are correct about the leg issues! Apart from the damage that was inflicted by my trip, I have peripheral neuropathy and nerve pain in my feet which always seems worse at night. Most days I can thole it but childcare days are more challenging. The boys are eating breakfast: dgs2 had Weetabix and dgs1 honey nut flakes. They are being very good this morning and dgs2 is very excited for his birthday tomorrow.
Gingster I have four family birthdays in December, DS4 has an 0 birthday and DH is 75 a couple of days before Father Christmas arrives.
Which is why I have to be organised, too many children and grandchildren (perhaps we should have watched more to 😹)
Good morning all. A balmy 5Deg in Glasgow, heavy rain which is due to stop soon for a break until late afternoon when there may be a chance of light snow. It is currently snowing in Perthshire according to family who live in Crieff.
I was doing some craftwork using gorilla glue yesterday, terrific stuff but I got it on my fingertips which, as I can’t remove it, stops me using Touch ID on my phone and iPad. I suppose it will wear off in time. Supermarket shop at some point but I think it will be Sainsbury’s today which has a covered car park which saves me a mad dash in the rain.
Best wishes to all for a good day.
Good day everyone on this icy cold morning, from the Scottish Borders.
The grass was white but is melting.
Yesterday I spent an hour raking leaves for compost in warm sunshine.
Not sure what's happening today. My podiatrist clinic has sent a message cancelling as my clinician is in hospital.
Gaelic may be off tonight too due to teacher illness so just an exercise class and picking up a friend from the garage where she's leaving her car for repair. Then she's borrowing my car as she needs one more than I do.
Complicated!
Glad to hear himself is stable FGT
Your DD must be a worry Sar
I managed a bit more of the sweater I'm knitting so am sending off for more wool. other knitters will know the excitement!
Hope you all have some joy today.
Morning all from West Oxfordshire.
Our gardener is coming this morning. There is quite a bit of tidying up to do and a few pots needs putting under cover.
I have a telephone appointment at 12 noon to talk about my forthcoming colonoscopy. I’ve been told to allow 45 minutes for the call. I’ve had the procedure twice before so maybe I won’t need as long.
Yesterday’s drive back from Kew was in glorious sunshine. The last section over the Downs was beautiful.
Have a good day. Thinking of the FGT2S. 🪻
Good morning from a very chilly but dry N.Bucks.
Enjoyed my reconnaissance outing yesterday and also watching the film’Choral’ .
Out with DH today and hopefully make a start on Christmas goodies. We also need to buy a curtain pole for new curtains once the lounge is decorated .
Choir practice this evening.
Wishing all our unwell GNs or family members who are unwell a healing day and a good day for all.
Good morning all from acold Glasgow, where it is 2°C.
This cold weather is badly affecting my joints, especially my hands and hips. I am like the Tin Man in the Wizard of Oz, creaking along. It did not help, that I got out of my car, to find I had lost my walking stick. It is always in the front seat of my car, but it was nowhere to be seen.
Then it dawned on me, the last time I had it was in the hardware store. I was too busy chatting, I left it resting against the counter.
That totally scuppered my plans of getting the keys made, while I picked up my prescriptions, then going to church.
I went into Timpsons, to find the key cutting blade had broken, so no keys made.😪
Then I drove along to the hardware store, where I saw my stick hanging on a hook! Relief!
I explained that there was difficulty cutting the keys yesterday and I couldn't get them done anywhere.
The assistant asked to see the key and said he could do it. I left with not only the keys, but an outside Christmas decoration!!
I was so late for Mass, I lurked at the back of the church.
After Mass, I was doing a bit of tidying up and went looking for the P,P. I couldn't find him, but heard the most beautiful music coming from one of the rooms. He has a grand piano and was playing with great skill. I would have sworn I was in a concert hall.
I couldn't bear to disturb him and resorted to messaging him instead.
Late last night, he phoned in a panic, the local Minister is coming this morning, but they have no leads to hook up the projector to the laptop. and had no idea what they needed and what to buy. Fortunately I did.
I contacted a parishioner, a former colleague, whose husband was the IT technician for our schools, he is going to deal with it.
I am learning to delegate.
I have been absolved of my responsibilities today and have a free morning. A rare event! Yippee!!
Baubles, what a beautiful idea, leaving a legacy for future grandchildren. 💕
It is Dollie's tenth birthday today. I was very ill, when she was born, and just about to retire on health grounds. I was very low and this wee girl lifted me up and gave me hope.💕
Blossoming, is very quiet, or have I just missed her?
sar, I keep thinking of your granddaughter, my son was exactly the same. It is so awful to see a loved one struggling to breathe.
In fact I got rid of our forty year old family nebuliser at the weekend. It kept us both out of hospital on many an occasion.
I wish you all the best days possible, especially those struggling.
Good morning from a grey and cold NE, we have a forecast for snow too.
I remembered to put the overcoat on the outside tap last night, don't want it freezing.
Felt chilled at bedtime last night so put a fleece blanket over the duvet and slept for eight hours.
Pain is easing in my left hand which means I can use it again.
Safe journey to your DH Ashcombe, I know what it is like as my DH and I lived apart for 16 years.
Thoughts are with poorly people and their carers.
Morning all, very late for us, it’s grey and cold, scraped ice after quiz last night where I drank two pints of lime and soda, that might explain my up/down night!!
Voluntary phone yesterday was quiet.
Not read yet, but have a pleasant day all.
FGT 👍

Happy birthday Dollie
Hoping your granddaughter improves soon Sar
All the best to the FGTs and to you llfl
Happy birthday Dollie
Good morning from a damp northwest coast. A quiet day yesterday with FaceTimes with DD and sister in the south.
Today to the music club and as one of the organisers is back in hospital, I’m in charge on the desk again. I avoid the tea making. Will have a warble this morning and choose my songs.
Thoughts to the FGTs and all with worries.
Ladyleftfieldlover (or anyone)what is the meaning of the box symbol you use?🤔
Good Morning from a cold, wet Durham. So cold yesterday, I bought Little Dog a coat in Next. I’ve woken with an almighty headache, I don’t think starting to clean the tumble dryer filters at 2am was a good idea! I’ll put it back together today.
I have a hair appointment late morning, then will walk Little Dog before dark. His stay changes my lifestyle.
Hoping MrFGT’s hospital visit goes well today and he can tolerate the treatment. I always found DH’s illness harder to handle during the darker months, as did he. Like harrigran he worked away for years - I actually found it quite difficult when he retired at 56 and came home permanently.
Best wishes to all. X
Happy birthday to Dollie 🥳
She’s two days older than our granddaughter!
Good morning,
It was very cold but bright yesterday, whereas today it’s very cold and dull. I doubt the sun will get out today.
Nothing much planned for today other than the usual run of the mill household things.
Hope you have a good day, and sending thoughts to all of you with troubles, worries and concerns 💐.
Good Morning from a pleasantly bright Co Armagh
We had a lovely day out yesterday , it was cold !
We were walking round an NT garden and I was told , don’t stop to look at things unless we are in the sun 🤣
It was amazing how much colour was still on show , lots of lovely geraniums and bushes of Fuschia
It was nice to be able to be out in the crisp fresh air , I’m thinking of seeing if there is a quieter rollator , I can’t manage without it , especially the seat to get a sit down , a couple of moments and I’m off again
Hoping for a good day for us all
Happy Birthday Dollie 🎂🎈🎉
Good morning all from a sunny Black country it was very frosty when I went bed but had cleared by this morning.
Late this morning trying to get organised before they come to change our meter.
DS has messaged to say he and the boys are at home with suspected covid, we were with them on Friday for Dgs birthday.
Best wishes for anyone celebrating, safe travels those on the move and hope all medical appointments are trouble free.
Have the best day you can everyone whatever your plans and may you all find a little bit of ☀️.
Marydoll, I was also missing Blossoming .
