Good morning all from a wet and windy Glasgow, where it is 11°C.
Unfortunately, I've had a severe reaction to my new antibiotics, nausea and terrible vertigo. I've just taken anti nausea meds, to try and feel slightly more human.
I began to feel unwell, when we were out yesterday and just as I was getting off the train, I suffered an attack of vertigo, almost being blown onto the track, by the strong winds.
DH of course had marched ahead, oblivious as usual.
Another e-consult planned for this morning.😪
We have Dollie for breakfast, I hope the anti nausea medication will have kicked in by the time she arrives.
Apart from the vertigo episode, we had a pleasant day in town.
It was a strange one.
I couldn't get going and we never made the planned train. Just as well, it was cancelled.
We were waiting for the train, when the southbound train for Ayrshire came into the Northbound platform, where we were waiting.
Confusion all round.
It stopped and the driver and guard approached us, asking if we knew what was happening.
I burst out laughing. I may be the fount of all knowledge, but I am not that good! 😂 I told them the 10.56 am train had been cancelled. ( It was 9.56am)
They said that was their train and I had more information than them!!! They had been told it was too risky to proceed any further down the line. ( Countryside, lots of trees and bushes.)
Then the guard told us that our train was coming in on the wrong platform and was doing a quick turnaround, because of the single track.
It is an old Victorian station, with millions of steps, so off everyone ran apart from me,
I was the last person to make it, with the very, stressed guard urging me to hurry up and go to the end of the train, where only one door was open.
What a relief!! Then of course, we had the discussion, of whether, we would be able to get back home again. We ere quite unphased, I was determined to have our day out.
Our children were more concerned than us, offering to drive us home, if we got stranded
I reminded them that I had travelled round Europe, staying in Youth hostels, with only £50 to my name. I was sure I would be able to get home from Glasgow. 😉
I managed to pick up a few bits and bobs for Christmas, but our lunch was a bit disappointing.
By the time we got home, I felt awful and had to go for a sleep.
Who knows, what today will bring. 😪 I'm tired of it all.
I will come back later and read your posts.
Have the best day you can folks.
