I'm almost finished my Christmas chocolates...

I shall have to make do with plain dark chocolate from Lindt or grocery store brand until the next holiday. Woe is me.
I enjoyed the ones from Roger's (a Victoria BC brand) so much that I may have to lay a heavy hint to DH for Valentine's day.

How is everyone else coping?

I'm here chomping away at Maltezers. Still have hidden from OH a box of After Eight Mints as he has swipped most of the Quality Streets. Coping at the moment. I love Lindt chocolate so creamy. I always buy my Oh a big box in the hope he will offer me a few.

Couldn’t resist another tin of Roses when I saw them reduced In Morrison’s. Diet will have to wait!

We've not even opened the Quality Street yet !!!

Been finishing off some really chocolatey biscuits from Marks and some Belgian chocolate seashells.

I haven’t even started on them as yet as I have been so busy one way and another.😇

I’m on the Waitrose dark chocolate gingers, they are lovely, but I can’t eat loads at once, which is a bonus.

We still have some Lindt ones, we limit ourselves to two each at the weekend.

I put a whole one in my mouth and let it melt until it’s all gone.

sad

I’ve still got a whole box of Black Magic and a few smaller items. Until a couple of hours ago there was still a wrapped present under the tree (still up until tomorrow) which I had purposely left unopened since I knew it contained a big box of Maltesers and I’d be making a complete 🐷 of myself.
However dh and a dd who’s staying have been helping me dispose of half of them.

I knew something was missing, I forgot to buy After Eight mints this year! That oversight will be rectified tomorrow grin even though I've still got 32 liqueur chocolates, and many a chocolate biscuit to get through.

Crikey- I only got one box and my guests ate most of those!

Ferroro is my favourite - none left. I shall have to do a big shop in the next few days

If that was in response to my liqueurs, I do mean 32 individual chocolates out of a box of 64, not 32 boxes. A lovely present from my aunt.

I received a big box of several bars of Green and Black dark chocolate which I am steadily working my way through. I had decided that I would cut out chocolate after Christmas but, well, I can’t let them go to waste can I! The problem then it will be Valentine’s Day. Of course I could say no but…… !

All chocolates have been eaten here and we are on last Oooohhh …. 3 slices of Christmas cake.
Will be glad when it is gone, then the healthy eating can begin .

Whole, small Christmas cake left and a tub of Hero’s , I had hidden away for Easter. DH found them last night whilst I was watching Traitors. Ah well.

I have a box of Bendicks bitter mints hidden away. I'm trying to do "out of sight, out of mind" but it's not working! I might open them tonight.

Very few chocolates took up residence here. The shortbread, however, is another topic………we were gifted loads of the stuff! Were getting to be quite the connoisseurs on shortbread 🤭

Unusually ,though I ate chocolate throughout the holiday my Christmas stack is almost untouched.
I usually finish them on 2nd January breaking my resolutions .
So I'll do what French women do -savour a bit of chocolate and not pig out on them !
I hope !

Elless Sat 10-Jan-26 10:45:36

Still got loads of chocolates and biscuits left but couldn't resist two tubs of Quality Street reduced to £2 in Asda 🤑

merlotgran Sat 10-Jan-26 10:52:45

I have half a chocolate orange left. Today would have been DH’s birthday so tonight I will eat it in his honour. 😂

Aveline Sat 10-Jan-26 10:53:26

Oh dear. My Christmas chocs have all gone. Will just have to buy more in the sales. It's just good financial sense!

Tenko Sat 10-Jan-26 10:57:06

We finished the quality street last night . Just half a panatone left.

Purplepixie Sat 10-Jan-26 11:07:40

I’ve got loads left and will give some to the grandkids. I need to lose some weight. If only fruit tasted as good!
