I'm almost finished my Christmas chocolates...

I shall have to make do with plain dark chocolate from Lindt or grocery store brand until the next holiday. Woe is me.
I enjoyed the ones from Roger's (a Victoria BC brand) so much that I may have to lay a heavy hint to DH for Valentine's day.

How is everyone else coping?

I would be embarrassed to say just how much chocolate I have eaten over Christmas, it is a lot.
However I probably won’t eat any more for months, I never buy chocolate apart from Christmas.
Unhealthy as that has been I have hardly put any weight on, I had the cold/ cough virus the first week of December and my appetite for main meals had diminished as has my liking for most alcohol.
I do enjoy a glass or two of wine, a G&T and occasionally a cocktail but have lost the taste fr them, I just hope it comes back!!
It has been easy to just dip into a box of chocolates, I have half a box of After Eight Mints left.
Whether have gone that will be it.

I do love After Eights. I keep them in the chiller drawer of the fridge. I love the crispy minty bite!

We finished the After Eights two nights ago, and a box of fudge that we brought back from Jersey. Also finished the Christmas cake made by DH. That's it for us now until next Christmas probably - back to keto yesterday and looking forward to Easter and Hot Cross bus.

Oh dear. My Christmas chocs have all gone. Will just have to buy more in the sales. It's just good financial sense!

Wonky Coffee (.com) has half-price Belgian ganache boxes on sale - £12.50 instead of £25 for 500g. Their decorations are crooked, otherwise they are exactly the same as perfect mixed boxes (I've tried them)

Witzend I didn't realise Black Magic were still available. They were my all time favourites when I was younger.

Half way through my eight boxes of After 8s. Heroes and other things long gone. I must have different taste buds to everyone else because our Lindt chocolates will sit here forever untouched. They will end up as a tombola prize because I can't even regift them because I don't know anyone who likes them.

Nearly all chocolates gone here. Just one box of lovely ones from a local chocolatier. A few other ones the GC can have.
Re Christmas cake leftovers I slice up into portions and freeze them. They make a nice treat with a cuppa in a couple of weeks time when fancying a treat.

Merlotgran, what a nice way to remember your DH flowers

We still have a very few whole liqueur cherries in dark chocolate, present from a dd who knows my weakness! From Friars of Keswick, who make superb chocolates. Also had one of their excellent chocolate nut platters, all now scoffed by the two resident 🐷🐷.
