Good Morning from a very wet dull East Coast.

We are settled back home after our Madeira holiday. DH still can’t shake the cold from before Christmas I think it’s affecting so many people. But we managed some lovely days though exploring the beautiful island.

Last night we visited our best friends who got terrible news yesterday that their beloved dog they only adopted ten weeks ago has multiple tumours in his spleen he’s ten so they brought him home for palliative care. My friend is devastated as he has only taken to her and follows her everywhere. Our other best friends were due to be there but my friends DH had taken a bad turn with his health. It really has been a difficult January so far.

We missed our DGC so much on holiday and they were so pleased to see us, today my DH is treating the DC and DGC to a pizza restaurant so we can all be together.
My DGS has struggled with his transition back to school unfortunately as there are so many new teachers and someone is triggering him so he spends a lot of time in the sensory room. It’s difficult to pick him up from school not knowing the report I’m going to get. I always hope for a better week. Fingers crossed for next week it’s distressing to see.

I noticed grandmattie is missing and her posts are always lovely. We’ve followed her through some of her toughest days and many years ago she made me a beautiful tote bag which I always take to the gym. So hope she’s back with us soon 💐

I think by the sounds of my partly miserable post that I need to follow my own advice and find moments of joy in my day.
Love to everyone and thoughts to those struggling. 🌺

Morning all from a damp yet bright West Oxfordshire.

I’m sorry there’s been ‘handbags’ on the morning thread.

OH has gone off in my car today to a shooting event. His car is in the local garage having something on the wheels fixed. I have had my car for a year and he’s only driven it once … across a car park! So, he had better get it back to me in one piece!

Have a good day everyone.

I always read this thread but don't post.
However, today I want to thank Grandmabatty for giving me such a laugh!

I hope your testosterone is safely delivered!

Good morning everyone from sunny Lancashire.

The Dock gates are open for the incoming tide this morning. This means the footbridge isn’t available, so MrB and I have braved the Big Steps to enjoy a walk down to the river. This also involves some rough terrain, all quite challenging with a triwalker but worth it. Coming back we also tackled the Steep Slope [grin ]. I feel well exercised this morning!

I have been feeling pretty good for several days now, I have hesitated to mention it because so many grans are going through difficult times and it seemed insensitive. I am also afraid to tempt fate, I don’t think I could stand another spell in hospital after the hell that was 2025.

Thinking as always of our poorly grans and those with troubles.

Wishing you all a good day, whatever you’re doing.

Grandmabatty. You will be weight lifting soon!!

Grandmabatty I’m fairly sure buying testosterone without a prescription is illegal in the UK. I don’t think that’s what is meant by Hormone Replacement Therapy grin

Whiteswan sorry to hear of your Dgs’s difficulties and hope next week will be easier. My Dgd aged 11 is struggling so far this term and getting her into school and keeping her there is causing lots of worry so understand exactly how you are feeling 🌺
