Good morning all from a rainy Glasgow, where it is 3°.C
Having been to St Michael's Mount, seeing the picture brought back happy memories, Marzipan.
Karma, I had a similar experience with the on call GP in the middle of the night. He refused to come out to my son. I wouldn't take No for an answer and put the phone receiver, up to my son's chest. He was out within fifteen minutes.
Fortunately, putting saline in our nebuliser, helped with frequent episodes.
A similar thing happened with Dollie, when she was a year old. The receptionist refused to give me an appointment. I put a screaming Dollie in her snow suit and drove to the Health Centre, refusing to leave,
A young GP came out and snapped, that he "didn't see people off the street^.
On hearing Dollie, he whisked her into the surgery, diagnosing asthma and croup, although she was too young for an definite asthma diagnosis.
He conceded, You are correct, gran, she does have croup, how did you know?
My three children and I are asthmatic and were prone to croup, I am an 'expert' said I. By the way, I think she has an ear infection.
By the time I left, the GP and I were the best of friends,🤣
Yesterday's shopping trip was not without incident. DH asked if I wanted to visit our large Farmfoods on the way, to stock up the freezer etc.
I got a bit carried away and DH got very flustered, trying to pack the bags at the checkout.
The assistant noticed I was struggling and ready to kill DH and came out from the till and starting packing the bags, DH was making a hash of. 🤣
It was so kind of her.
DIL was so disappointed at not getting out yesterday.
She is still quite unwell and was having a CT scan last night. In addition, her bloods are indicating something else is wrong😪
DS is exhausted, he has been going twice a day, so we are doing the morning shift, to give him a break,
He has already cancelled two business trips and is very stressed.
On top of that, wee Dollie is struggling and has developed an attiude. Not only is she missing her mum,but has been bullied at school by my friend's granddaughter.
Her mother did exactly the same to my own daughter. It is all so difficult. 😔
I have to visit the doctor's this morning, so we will park the car there and jump on the bus. The hospital is only ten minutes away.
I had hoped for a restful day, in preparation for Babydoll tomorrow, but DIL needs us. DH will need to do the bulk of the care, for I am still struggling.
I am missing her so badly.
She is not going to be happy. The kitchen has been rearranged and she doesn't do change. Her chocolate coins are in a different drawer. Watch this space! 🤣
Best wishes to all
