Good Morning Everyone, A dark wet morning here in Brackley this morning. The usual routine after breakfast and a bit of TV ,catch the bus to bus to Bicester and do a shop and chat to those I know. Little bit disappointed with Royal Mail as to letters they may as well be on strike with what they have not done . Health OK, Take Care, Mick
BlueSapphire , thank you for that reassurance. It is nice to know when somebody has recovered from something you suffer from My sympathies are with you today, a sad day
Good morning from the west midlands. A slow day day here today; shopping, housework & gardening after lunch. My downsizing has just currently hit the buffers! I think I swore abit and had a sort-of shouty paddy, that would have done a toddler proud! I don't know what the neighbours thought but they may have learnt a few new swear words. Everydays a schoolday.
Marydoll did you see the Japanese Ambassadors visit to Glasgow ? He brought his Paddington bear to see the sights ,have dinner at the restaurant where tikka masala was “invented” and took the bear to meet a Glasgow bear who lives in the window of a flat above shops . It was very funny and very sweet. After they met the Glasgow bear he bought champagne at the shop and took it up to the bears owner as a thank you for taking them into her home . I loved the pictures on FB he had a lovely reception from my fellow weegies
Good morning all! Newbie here and just wanted to say hi! I’ll be honest- I’m more of a stalker reading up on bits that hit home. I just wanted to start off with a hello before I fade into the background. lol
Currently, I’m in my classroom waiting for the school day to start. Hoping the weather will hold up so children will have outside recess. I think I read that this site was based in UK? May I ask where everyone is from? I’m in Missouri- I’m off to run copies but I’ll check in a break. Have a good day all! 🤗
Don’t fade into the background PracticallyPensioned ! We’re mostly in the UK, me in the city of Carlisle close to the Scottish border. It’s interesting to hear of life in other parts of the world.

I have been following the Ambassador and his bear for a while now, he is an amazing man, and doing so much to promote the entire U.K.
I’ve been searching for a site for a while for aged like fine wine crowd and nothing appealed to me until I found this one.
The weather decided to cooperate and the kiddos were able to get outside to recess. I survived Friday - UHG - so many assessments to be given on Friday’s. I hate them as much as the children do. Fingers crossed this (prob next year) will be my last if my health and body holds out. I’m on year 30 in the classroom- second grade. Teaching is no longer enjoyable when all the higher ups want to tell you how to do it and they haven’t a clue what goes on in a classroom- let alone at a Title 1 school where you’re job has so many hats already and the weight of them all is finally crushing you.
Anyway- Spring is trying to find its way to us in Missouri. My daffodils are poking through the ground. Sitting here with my coffee and I can hear the song birds chirping away.
