MD I will start baking a cake, I have a file ready to go in it.
I needed it “ just in case” for someone to send me when my H was here.

Morning from DD4’s house where I’ve stayed overnight after visiting my poorly friend. Three of us have been meeting regularly for coffee etc for many years but now two of us are going to her house instead of going out.
We think she is not going to recover sufficiently to meet outside again and are trying to encourage her to think of acquiring suitable wheelchair so she can get out of the house as the weather improves.

Hope things improve for Marydoll and family, tough times for them just now.

Very glad you’re getting some support Roses, and good wishes to all.

That did make me laugh, thank you.

I am feeling very tearful this morning and pretty rubbish. I know he is unwell, but.......

Good morning all.

Marydoll a mirror image of my Dh and life at the moment

Dh was taken by ambulance into hospital on Thursday evening. He couldn’t walk at all and had a high temperature. Was feeling very unwell. I thought it was another stroke!
Anyway he’s in a ward now having various tests.
He’d had a minor operation to cut out a large sore in his chest the day before. Last year he had a stroke after dental procedure. It seems that he is body and brain can’t deal with trauma.

I hope your Dh takes note now and is more mindful of his health. My Dh was just the same. Head in the sand! 🙄.

I hope your Dh takes all have a more peaceful day and look after yourselves. 🌺

Greyduster, they are always digging up the trams somewhere along the line. You’re lucky if you get a straight through journey these days.hmm

Good luck with the pills Marydoll my OH insists he doesn,t need his because he doesn,t have a heart condition….15 years on from the attacks!
I put them out and check that he takes them…and check every few minutes until he does .I tell him I,m not his mother and that being in denial 15 years down the line is ridiculous. He gets a heart check every year and because it’s fine he behaves like an eegit and does things that give me the fear.
Wouldn,t be without him though.

Having survived the journey there, Melanie (I really couldn’t tell you where we went on the replacement bus - it was an education!), I got the 120 bus back. It was simpler than chopping and changing, though I’m not a fan of buses. Love our tram - but not yesterday!

Good morning everyone from sunny Lancashire.

MrB and I have enjoyed a walk around the Dock and a little trainspotting while the sunshine lasts. The forecast is not good for this afternoon.

Marydoll you must have the patience of a saint. I hope things improve soon.

As always, thinking of those with troubles in their lives.

Wishing you a good day whatever you’re doing.

Oh Marydoll my sore back is due to DH not listening to me when we chose our new sofas and chairs.

I pointed out in the shop that despite being extremely comfortable and looking really good, the sofa which would be mine wouldn’t be any good for me to watch the television from (I sat with my feet up under me resting my back on the high arm of the old sofa)

New ones have low arms, which meant I have sat twisted for the last 6 days, and my back is complaining…

Cossy

Good Morning,

Started my morning very early in Spain, where it rained or was cloudy the whole four days we were there and now home in slightly less cloudy and slightly more chilly Essex.

Enjoy your weekend one and all 🥀🥀🩷

We have been watching the weather on that Costa waiting for it to break then hopefully find a flight from local airport PDQ

I am desperate to feel the sun on my face and my aging bones…

Have you considered using a pill shooter Marydoll? You may have to hold his nose to get him to open his mouth grin

aggie Sat 11-Apr-26 11:40:00

Good Morning all , the sun is out and the wind is bearable , well I can stand upright outdoors
The pain in my hip seems to have gone , but I’ve been doing very little walking , I have a phone call booked with the doctor on Monday ! That’s probably why it has eased
MD I’m sure you are glad your OH is home , but watch out for your own health , in the battle of the tablets

Blossom I would need to sedate him first. He is a rather large gentleman. 🤣

I forgot to mention that the consultant handed him a gown and asked him to put it on.
He put it on OVER his clothes. The Consultant, the nurse and I were falling about laughing!

Just back from the Opticians although my “carers “ who took me and I had breakfast out, a rare treat for me.
I have just seen Gingster’s post and wanted to send caring thoughts to you.
A lot of things to cope with in the past months.
Take care.

All our best wishes to your D.D. for the recovery from Covid.

Sweating out: Use a Vick´s type mentholated gel to rub into the throat and chest area and a Q-tip to place a tiny drop by the nostrils.

Aspirin or Tylenol or Paraceptamol as instructions on box to keep fever down.

Hot chicken broth ( with rice ) and herbal tea ..

It is a terrible flu and needs to be tended too and lots of bed rest. Has your D.D. been to the Doctor yet ? Needs to wear a mask and discuss the symptoms for prescription medicines.
