How do you hang your washing out?

I've always hung tops from the bottom and trousers etc from the waist but I went to a relative's at the weekend and she hung shirts and tops from the shoulders, which I thought was unusual.

Perhaps your relative likes trying to iron out the peaks on the shoulders of the clothes. Or maybe, never helped Mum peg out washing when a child. I met a lady who didn't follow the usual rule of tops from the bottom and bottoms from the top simply because her husband knows better, even though he never does any housework. It's easier for her to do as he tells her, than put up with the abuse. She would love to do things in more efficient ways but it's difficult to do in her situation. Yes, she has the information to get help for if and when she makes that decision.

I love hanging out washing though I am no domestic goddess. Tops from the bottom. Jumpers over the line and trousers from the bottom . I always hang white things the right side out if it’s sunny as it helps to keep them white and removes small stains
