Good Morning Everyone,
Its just starting to become daylight here in Brackley this morning.
Usually at around 0530 the local Morris men perform on the piazza outside the town Hall , but this the pub which normally opened early for the proceedings as closed .
I will do my usual routine after breakfast with a bus trip to Bicester and chat to those i know .
Health OK,
Take Care,
Mick

woke up after a sleepless night, having gone to bed after finding that I hadn't got any hot water. I had run every tap from kitchen to bathroom, plus cloakroom and water came abundantly but was COLD
It is only a couple of weeks since the boiler was serviced.

Got up at 6.30, tried all the taps again- sort of hoping that a miracle would have happened and I could get in the shower but was wrong.
Then I had to wait until I felt I could reasonably phone my central heating man. So at 8.30 I spoke to him, hoping he would come round soon, but no, he talked me through things to do to the boiler and the thermostat thingy. Inevitably I proved my lack of understanding. I did eventually do something that got the radiators to heat up, but on a sunny day, it wasn't what I was wanting. However it became clear that he wasn't going to go anywhere before breakfast and he told me to phone back later if the water didn't get hot. So I dithered and muttered and grumbled and whinged, but remained unwashed and probably smelly!
I finally gave up and phoned and he said he would come.
I think he's close to retirement. He has a stepson who does most of the work, and who had serviced the boiler, but he apparently was busy installing a new boiler somewhere.
So K finally arrived and quite quickly discovered the fault. Apparently there was a faulty valve, So now I have to wait until he has got a replacement and comes to fix it. What a bad start to the day!

G'd day from a warm public holiday in Germany. 23°C. I work in a senior care home, and did the early shift today. Warmer tomorrow at 25°C. Checked on my bean, squash, zucchini, pumpkin and cucumber seeds. Ah well, I only sowed them out 2 days ago. But these hot day temps will hopefully coax them into germinating.

The most beautiful month of the year. The may blossom and cow parsley are coming out and up in Worcestershire my daughter’s swallows have returned to nest in her stable and she heard a cuckoo today.
I hope you all had a happy May Day.
