My little granddaughter uses the word ‘slay’ in texts - I don’t know what it means - I guess it means ‘good’, thumbs up, etc. Has anyone else heard that expression ?
Feedback from close relatives over recent years is that I am very irritating. The worst aspect is that some think it is deliberate. I forget things and answer ‘I don’t know’ to too many questions, especially if their question was ‘What did you just do on your phone/iPad before that happened?” My irritating answer is often ‘I pressed something…’
Evidently I breathe tunes when I’m working, or thinking or even driving which is very irritating for DH and I overuse absolutely or absolutely not! DGD asked me why I said that so I said it stops me from swearing.
I do “wow” every now and then, but what really annoys DS1 is that I frequently say “Oh Lor’”. Seems harmless to me, so maybe it’s not me to blame but the younger generation?
I think I irritate some people with my opinions so I must try not to mention them. I don't like people who seem to think that all Disabled PIP or Universal Credit claimants are frauds. No empathy for those through no fault of their own are unable to work enough hours to pay their full way. Also no empathy for those who are not as intelligent as they are so are not able to earn as much money so need some help from UC. Not all benefit claimants are frauds. There its off my chest now so maybe I'll try hard to not mentioned it again especially in RL.
I was in bed last night about 7:30, bedroom window wide open, listening to the birdies nattering away and I noticed, again, they say ''wow'' a lot in their own languages!
That's fair!
Wow!
Graham!
Oooeee!
Wow!
Yes/no!
Wow!
Over there!
My late great cat, who passed over the Rainbow Bridge 9 months ago, was great for saying WOW in an incredibly human-like voice! She always creased me up laughing when she said it!
