What colour car do you have or did you used to drive?

For the first time in my life I have a red car. I love it. I’ve had it a couple of years now. It is funny but many of my friends ( we are all over 70) also chose red ones. We used to always go for dark grey or navy. We still have a dark bluish mauve one that my husband drives . It is easy to find it in the car park, much easier than the grey one which you had to wander around to find when you forgot where you left it!
When the children were young they pleaded with us not to get another mustard yellow one - horrible colour but it must have been popular then in the 1980s.

My first car was yellow, ‘citron’ iirc.
I’d never seen a colour like it until I dealt with my firstborn’s nappies: ‘aaah yes’ I remember thinking.

Oh you've brought back lovely memories of my elderly neighbour and friend who years ago remarked her brother had just bought a new car "the colour of baby poo" 😊

Way back in the 70s my mother had a Yellow Escort - yellow cars were v unusual then.
Roll on several decades to when she had dementia - every time I took her out in the car and she saw a yellow car (quite often!) - she’d say, ‘I used to have a yellow car.’
‘Yes, you did, didn’t you?’
(Me, x 100!)
