Thinking of soop today and especially to mrsoop on a difficult day for him and all the family,

I think it especially difficult because the house is isolated, Mr. Soop has no near neighbours. She was such a kind lady.

I waited all day for a District Nurse to arrive. Not even a call to say they are understaffed. It would be different if I hadn't been at home I think.

Warm again tomorrow. I am wearing a cardigan - there will be no hope for me in January.

Hi kitchen pals, I’ve just come in from the garden and enjoying a cuppa in the conservatory. It’s a warm dry day here, lots of sunshine and a few clouds. I’ve had a bit of a lazy morning and a chat with DS which was lovely. His school in Switzerland is back this coming week so he’s busy with preparation etc. and a bit of a new role to take on. My legs are recovering from lots of dancing last night, there must have been about 40 ladies and just 3 men, two who appeared to be enjoying things and the other looked like he’d rather be home watching TV.
Chicken for dinner later, we’ve run out of wine though so I could open a Prosecco or wait until tomorrow…

brook nobody did and worse, no phone call. When I am waiting I daren't go upstairs because it takes me ages to come down, although I have a stairlift.

I was having a lie in when the phone rang at 9 am saying the DN would be here in 30 minutes. H e said they were short-staffed yesterday, but it would be different if I weren't at home on an allocated day.

It is 30C here, I have the door open but no fan on. I am definitely used to the weather.

It will be steak with trimmings here, same as last night. I eat a half a steak rather than the whole one.

Same temperature here Charleygirl no fan yet, but I am bored with the heat now, I do hope the DN turned up.
Rest those legs brook, best of luck to your son in his new role, we too are eating chicken later.
MrJ picked his first tomatoes, he’s taken over a lot this year including these, never grown a thing before, he’s chuffed.
We do have wine and after a quick shower I’ll be having a glass.

I have been in and out of the garden all day, covered in sunscreen and mostly in the shade.

My kindle has had a funny turn so I have handed it over to DH who thinks he can sort it 🤦‍♀️ I will wait patiently.

In the meantime I have cracked open a rose (chicken wine) which I am enjoying over lots of ice.

Steak here for dinner, with salad.

Yia I feel very sad that you feel you want to leave.
My posts ( and life) are boring in the extreme but I just keep on keeping on , reading other people’s doings and so on.
I hope you reconsider and continue to enjoy everyone’s support for each other.

I suspect many of us think our posts are boring yia, for sure I don't have an exciting life. Very predictable. I”ve enjoyed and appreciated reading your posts. Have you thought about joining people in the quiet corner and just popping in from time to time. It would be good to know you’re still around. You’d be missed.

My big news today is I’ve made the new car very dirty! Been to an all day event held on very dry parkland. Every movement triggered a dust shower. I’m dusty, my hair is gritty, my white trainers are brown and the poor car has lost its shine while gaining a lot of dried grass. Oh dear. Mr C is if of course right, it’s a piece of metal and won’t mind 😂.

Time for a glass of chilled white. A pleasant end to a good day. Rest well everyone.

Oh YiaYia don’t feel that nobody is interested. My life is very limited these days and many people would find it boring. I”m content just to be home with my beloved MrB and my daily outings with the triwalker. I try to find joy in the everyday.

I’m at DD1’s now, looking after the dog, who is waiting for the family to come home - a long wait for her as they’re away for a week! I hope she settles tonight, I’m hot and tired and my room is up two flights of steep stairs, so I don’t need to be up and down to the dog! DD2 will come in early morning and take the dog for a walk before it gets too hot.
I can cope with the heat up to about 28 degrees, but 30 today was a bit too much for me.
I’ll do a little dusting while I’m here, it will take a while as there are books and ornaments on every surface!

A power outage this morning has upset the fancy television, I hope DD2 or her OH can sort it out, I’ve been watching the iPlayer on my iPad all day!

Thinking of those in the quiet corner and hope you feel able to pop into the kitchen soon to say hello.

Early evening it was 30C here and I thought I needed a cardigan! There is little hope for me! It will be a duvet tonight, it is 25C now.
