I agree with FriedGreenTomatoes they could easily have visited quietly and respectfully like a normal loving family would. It seems they are just nasty pasties. What a shame.
If you are dealing with narcissism, let’s all help each other.
Just been reading about H&M’s forthcoming proposed visit to the UK with their children, pertaining to the Invictus Games which are due to take place next year.
Apparently, it’s a private visit, and accommodation has been offered to them on a ‘Royal estate’, but no mention of where or if it’s been accepted.
Security issues not revealed, plus whether or not it involves meeting up with the King.
We shall wait and see how it all evolves.

It's not a question of he king coughing up, what Harry wants is armed police protection, outriders, blue lights, traffic cleared as they pass by and so on. The King cannot provide any of that even if he wanted to. Our strict gun laws prevent it. Only specially trained Police can give Harry what he wants the king has no say in that. Harry seems to think that the King can influence royal security, he can't! The King is being punished for not intervening. Harry knows perfectly well that he can't, but won't believe it. What a horrible thing to do. Poor Charles.
I would imagine the king is more relieved than sad.
But then, who actually knows how he feels.
This latest episode is simply a replay of Harry's previous behaviour. He has fastened on his desire to have armed guard to which he is no longer entitled when he visits Britain, and has resorted to using his children as a bargaining tool to try and coerce his father into reinstating he and his family as full members of the royal family, without of course doing any work.
I would imagine the King is sickened as well as saddened by Harry's poor behaviour.
Of course, JP Caonabo would say that wouldn't they!
Whatever you think about a monarchy I'm not sure that should be relevant if the Sussexes were wanting to quietly see family.
In today's newspaper there is yet another photo of the Sussex family with the children's faces not shown. Am I alone in thinking that it might be better to not have photos of them published at all? Other members of the family, working royals who live here and contribute, don't find it necessary to behave as if the rest of the world must never gaze at their children.
I had to laugh at the BBC news online this morning.
‘Harry and Meghan: Will they, won’t they, and will we care ?’ !

I think this too.
People keep saying how sad it is that Charles doesn’t see his GC.
Perhaps he sees them on Facetime, perhaps not.
Either way, I expect he has plenty on without worrying too much about seeing distant GC who he has little in common with.
H&M are reaping what they sowed, family relationships wise.
They could have had it all with knobs on if they hadn’t thrown their toys out the pram.

Precisely.
There are more guns and nutcases in the USA but they get on either life there without police escorts. They’ve made their beds, by their detestable behaviour towards the Roysl Family and the media, and they’re not as exciting as MM may imagine.
I expect her own father would also be glad to meet his grandchildren and indeed, his son-in-law.
John Lennon moved to the USA to escape media intrusion and unwanted attention from fans etc. He was convinced it would be safer.
Look what happened to him!
They ( the children) do not know of their royal status, headline on news today.
Why do they think their parents are Duke and Duchess and they themselves Prince and Princess?
All such rubbish.
They certainly did not turn down titles for the children as some of our royals have done.

It’s clear some people on this thread are mindreaders of the Royal Family.
Not me, I'm doing it all with the help of a crystal ball.
My crystal ball mentioned that unless Harry told the entire world of his impending visit to UK and emphasised it would include multiple locations and off-piste publicity sorties by his wife, the wannabe assassins and kidnappers would never have known about it.
M " This home is a bit shabby H, and this tiara is a bit worn".
H " Everything my family owns is second-hand . I am only a second -best Prince. You'd know that if you'd googled me."
M "We should go to America where we can be STARS in our own royal show and get much richer than your Dad".
Series 3/ episode 9.
H " I'm bored "
M "Just stick the labels on the jars".
H " Is it home time yet? Can I go home now? "
M "This is home."
H "This isn't even our kitchen"
M " Go do the school run."
H " How will I recognise the kids?"
Not a fan of the monarchy, but after reading this thread I looked at the facts.
Harry said HE would pay to have the armed security they pay for in the USA ……
Seems that there are heads of state and celebrities who have armed protection when they come to this DIS -United Kingdom.
I think this is just petty nonsense by the royals, maybe they,re worried he might let some skeletons out of the closets and there will be many they want kept secret .
I,d be happy if Harry did a real tell all about this family of crooks ,sex offenders and adulterers.
A friend of mine was in Edinburgh when the king and his consort were there ,apparently the Republic folk protesting call Camilla,Queen Mrs Parker Bowles or Queen drops her drawers, Made me laugh ..
Why DO people think these parasites are somehow superior ?
M "We should go to America where we can be STARS in our own royal show and get much richer than your Dad".
And give our children names that will sound straight outta Disney when they each become a Prince and Princess.
Gosh paddyann anyone would think you weren't a royalist!
Whoever you’re commenting on paddyann, I think those comments are uncouth and unnecessary.
Decisions about armed security are made by the Government paddyann, not by the King.

Nobody pays for armed protection regardless of status or wealth. It just doesn't happen. The infrastructure of our protection policy doesn't allow for payment. End of.
I personally don't feel they are superior to me, just different.
Who thinks they're superior? Anyone?
Nope. The Royal family are just different from mine. Not better or worse and, in some respects, unluckier. At least we have private lives.
They pay for it in the USA, but we don't pay for armed security here. The ethos is different. In the USA it is normal for ordinary people to have their own arms, and can take them everywhere with them - look where that leads.
The UK averages roughly 6.5 guns per 100 residents, whereas the United States has about 120 firearms per 100 residents. That is about 20 times the Uk number.
On a per capita basis, the overall rate of gun violence deaths in the U.S. is roughly 340 times higher than in the UK.
That is a far higher disproportion than the (already high) disproportion in the number of guns in private hands in the two countries, so the violent effect of all those guns is increased by a factor of 17 times the greater level of ownership.
The conclusion must be that the normalisation of a high level of gun ownership results in a far higher level of readiness to use them in moments of stress or resentment.
So, actually, H&M are in more danger in America than here?
