Just been reading about H&M’s forthcoming proposed visit to the UK with their children, pertaining to the Invictus Games which are due to take place next year.

Apparently, it’s a private visit, and accommodation has been offered to them on a ‘Royal estate’, but no mention of where or if it’s been accepted.

Security issues not revealed, plus whether or not it involves meeting up with the King.

We shall wait and see how it all evolves.

Perhaps I don't like being adressed as if I'm a five year old. smile

Fair enough.

I think your snide and sneery comment about a man who has had to support his young children through the discovery of their mothers cancer and it’s treatment, whilst supporting his father whilst he also underwent treatment for cancer and who undertook the public roles that were thrust upon him with dignity and humanity, was disgraceful. And that anyone should be thoroughly ashamed at taking that kind of personal jibe at anyone in those circumstances

I agree my first comment was not helpful. It did not make clear my feeling of revulsion,

It wasn't snide or sneery.
I openly said what i thought.
One comment, as opposed to page after page of Harry and Meghan comments.
Guess we'll each have to just live with our revulsion.

Indeed. We must each live with ourselves.

Good.
Glad we ironed that one out.

In character I would say M &H are exactly like the Greek gods; selfish, perverse, wilful, demanding, unpredictable and following no moral code but their own. Also subject to hubris.

Fortunately they do not have superhuman powers, otherwise we would all be turned into spiders or trees, for daring to criticize them.

*I think that there is really only one thing going on here and that is the Sussexes continually trying to do what the Royals originally forbade them to do. That was to be Global Celebrities*
The royal family cannot forbid them to do anything at all.
In any event they simply ARE celebrities .... that is just a fact.

They didn't need to be celebrities.

They could have followed the down to earth example of Anne who has spent her entire adult life as sibling to future king, lives well away from London, raised her children in privacy with no titles, developed interests of her own, and took on a huge number of public duties carried out with no fanfare and little media attention . Anne's husbands took a very back seat and have enjoyed relative obscurity.

Edwards marriage, children life etc have attracted very little publicity or attention.
