Good morning Mick, morning all from damp South Lanarkshire.

I had a good day yesterday, DGD had stayed over on Saturday night and went to Mass with me. We took her home in the afternoon and spent an hour chatting with DD and all the children about our holiday plans.

Not a lot happening today, Sainsbury’s will deliver my weekly shop the I think I’ll sort out some drawers, try on some of my linen dresses and perhaps start another donation bag. I do have more clothes than I wear, daft to hold on to them.

Wishing you all a good day.

Good morning, it’s dry here in south Glos but I’m hoping for rain…..
Yesterday I spent the first few hours doing usual chores, I washed the floors, put the kitchen rug in the wash, deadheaded my roses and generally pootled around. I enjoyed several hours of reading for a change.
DH went out for the afternoon so I walked the dogs individually, enjoying just wandering around going wherever they wanted to go. All very pleasant.
I have a CT scan scan this afternoon; DH will take me because it’s almost impossible to park at the hospital unless you’re there by 9am 🙄
I’ll need to water my pots first thing, I am not convinced we’ll get much rain today.
Best wishes to you all 🌹

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 13° and wet. Normal weather has resumed!
Yesterday was quietly busy. Aldi then housework.
Today is early childcare day. I'll head up to dds soon then sort out the boys breakfast and get them to school/nursery. Then back to my house to potter. Dgs1 is going to a friend's after school so it'll just be Dgs2 and me. Have a good day all

ginny Mon 01-Jun-26 05:47:33

An early Good morning from me. Just happen to be awake and must get up a bit earlier as DGSs 2& 3 are coming for the day as their schools have an Inset day.
Not sure what we will be doing but probably some craftwork and depending on the weather a trip to a local park and some lunch. I’lldrop them back home around 4pm.
I expect my sleep was interupted as I had been worrying all evening about DD2 who was stuck in London after the steering on her car went. Luckily she was on a quiet road. I dread to think what could have happened had she still been on the motorway.
Hope today brings some relief for our poorly fronds and a good day for all.

White 🐇 🐇🐇rabbits!
Good morning from an overcast and distinctly cooler Bristol. It was extremely breezy yesterday, which kept the felt temperature down, especially the outside ones. A lot of rain is forecast today. Hurray!
Yesterday went ok. I saw my upstairs neighbour and asked her if we could stop by the church on the way to Tesco this morning. It is the live concert on Wednesday and, although I could probably fit 20 pots of marmalade with the tins of cakes and 8 pts of milk, it would be very heavy to carry. In addition. I don’t really have tim3 either today or tomorrow to carry the jams. I try extremely hard not to ask her to do anything for me as I don’t want to take advantage of her kindness.
This afternoon is going to be interesting. We have the boss of the gardening contractor coming. Mr. Teflon is also here. They will be given a hard time as the garden has been neglected for years; just the lawn has been cut, but not weeded or scarified, etc.
Tomorrow, I shall be going to the mall in north Bristol for a meet up. I’m feeling rather nervous.
May your CT scan and its results disclosed soon, R&L. And everyone else have a pleasant, safe and smooth new week and month.

Good morning from a bright morning in La Sarthe.

I hope you’re seen promptly for your CT scan RosesandLilac. Hospital parking seems to be an issue all over the country. I’m glad your DH will take you.

Today I start my (solo) journey home with a ferry crossing at 16.30 from Ouistreham to Portsmouth then an overnight at Portsmouth Travelodge. It’s the first time I’ve travelled alone to the UK for a few years although I used to undertake the trip regularly for some years. I’m still adjusting to having a different car - a Puma - after my lovely Fiesta was written off back in April.

I hope this is the start of a good week for you all. 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

Good morning from Malta where the forecast is for a sunny day with a high of 32°C.

There has just been the most enormous explosion which got me jumping out of bed and out the front as I thought it was an earthquake. All my neighbours were out on their balconies, DD3 phoned me , she had run out thinking the building was collapsing. It is clearly something awful. I’m in shock.

Did you hear it Llfl? What a start to your holiday if so.

Yesterday was lovely, went to Mass then sorted out my backyard which now looks inviting for the boys (and grown ups ) to enjoy.

Lots of exciting tennis to watch, the youngsters are doing so well in this tournament.

I’m not planning to go out today. The boys start half days now for summer so will see them after school. Fortunately they both slept through the explosion.

Wishing a good day to all.☀️

Good morning everyone from cloudy Lancashire.

We came back from the caravan yesterday on roads which were no busier than a normal Sunday which was a nice surprise.

DH has done a sterling job of watering the garden and the seedlings in the greenhouse in my absence. He's not a natural gardener but watering in my absence is something he can manage.

The little chap was excited to play on his swing and climbing frame in the garden.

Today we'll go shopping and do a few jobs about the house.
I've a box of Mum's papers that need another cull so that's my target. She died almost 2 years ago so there are things like old bank statements that I assume can now be shredded.

Sending good wishes to those who are poorly and/or have poorly family.
Have the best day possible. 🌻

grandMattie Mon 01-Jun-26 06:19:18

Bon voyage ash. It’s something I would never do as I hated driving.

Bella I’ve just searched for this, and explosion in a fireworks factory apparently. I hope no one was injured.

brook2704 Mon 01-Jun-26 06:33:53

Good morning everyone from Switzerland, it’s a little bit cloudy this morning but still warm
Enjoy your meet up tomorrow gMattie, I’d be a little bit nervous too the first time but I’m sure it’ll all go well
Hoping your scan goes ok this morning roses and you get your results quickly
Not a good start to the day Bellas I hope everyone is ok
We’ve been doing lots of walking in beautiful mountains and valleys, not as much uphill as we used to do though! It’s our last day here as later we’re continuing our scenic rail trip down into Italy where we’re staying a couple of nights.
Ash safe solo journey home today and hope you’re together again soon
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Bellasnana Mon 01-Jun-26 06:34:45

Yes, it’s a fireworks factory but in Maghtab area not Mosta. Unfortunately it seems likely there will be casualties.😢

Safe journey home Ashcombe, you are braver than I am.

Thinking of you RosesandLilac as you go for your scan.💐

Greyduster Mon 01-Jun-26 06:36:04

Good morning Michael and all GNs from a cool cloudy South Yorkshire where we will have a dry morning and a wet afternoon it seems.

Yesterday’s family dinner went very well - no leftovers and clean plates. I made DD her favourite fish pie, and I have a spare for my evening meal today.
DS sent me a photo of some posh bit of kit he bought with the cheque I sent him for his birthday which he needed for his stick making, asking me what did I think? I said it looked like a sewing machine and would be like to run me up a little dress! He despairs of me😁!

Dentist for me this morning. Oh joy!

Safe travels Ash - you’ll be fine👍🏻!

Have the best day you can, folks.

Ladyleftfieldlover Mon 01-Jun-26 06:39:22

We’re off to Gozo shortly.

Good morning Mick and all from Cloudy Chambers northwest coast.
Nice day yesterday at a local open garden. It looked wonderful, such hard work, so many flowers and plants. A very interesting lay out. About the same size as mine, which is more like a boring field.
I had a cup of coffee and fell into conversation with a friendly couple who visit lots of open gardens. It reminded me of Madeleine who I often think of.

In the evening to friend’s open mic night and heard some talented players. A couple of young guest next to me crocheting through the acts. Makes a change to haziest your phone. I didn’t stay too late.

What a shock Bella! Have a good journey Ashcombe and thoughts to all🌺

hollysteers Mon 01-Jun-26 06:41:52

Good morning from a cooler and cloudy Black Country.

Visited MrJs DD in Hospital, she was sitting out of bed now and in better spirits. She cannot bear weight on the leg though for at least 8 weeks!

Coming home on the train, changing at New Street Station, I was approached by a woman, who I vaguely recognised. It was my old neighbour from the last house, who I last saw in 2012! Took me a while to compute who she was. I was surprised she and her DH recognised me. When I moved in there in 2003, she was a young Mum with 2 small girls, now those girls are in their early 20's!

Line Dancing today with my friend.

What a shock Bellas, hoping there are no casualties.

Wishing you all the best day possible
