Bluecat Tue 15-Dec-20 17:54:42

Santa Claus Is Back In Town by Elvis. Seasonal and sexy at the same time.

Casdon Tue 15-Dec-20 17:23:33

I get so bored of the same old songs being played every year, I like Jamie Cullen’s new one ‘Hang your Lights’. Of the old songs, ‘Let it Snow’ sung by Dean Martin makes me happy.

All Alone on Christmas by Darlene Love

Love this song but it's not played often

Except in my house

Like now smile

Away in a manger sung by small children always bring tears to my eyes .

clareken Tue 15-Dec-20 16:55:50

Carol of the Bells. The Pentatonix version is really good.

gulligranny Tue 15-Dec-20 16:26:05

I love Good King Wenceslas by The Roches, Santa Baby by Eartha Kitt and The Christmas Song as sung by Nat King Cole. Carols-wise, it's got to be It Came Upon The Midnight Clear and In The Bleak Midwinter (but only the Holst version).

Can't bear Fairytale of New York or Gaudete ...

Johnny Mathis "When a Child is Born". A bit old fashioned maybe but he has a beautiful voice and every word is crystal clear.

Torbroud Tue 15-Dec-20 16:03:46

John Lennon, So this is Christmas.
All time classic

Blue Christmas, by Elvis

DeliaT Tue 15-Dec-20 13:27:37

I’m with Foxyferret. Christmas for Cowboys by John Denver takes things away from commercialism and back to a natural Christmas.

Gillyanne Tue 15-Dec-20 13:15:54

Bob Dylan "It must be Father Christmas" makes me laugh every time and Eartha Kitt singing 'Santa Baby' .

Alioop Tue 15-Dec-20 13:14:51

Wham's Last Christmas, Frankie Goes To Hollywood The Power of Love and The Ronettes Sleigh Ride. Adore them all, but especially the video of George Michael rolling about in the snow.....

Shirls52000 Tue 15-Dec-20 12:38:03

Gaudete by Steeleye Span

Calendargirl Tue 15-Dec-20 12:36:13

‘Where Are You Christmas?” by Faith Hill,

homefarm Tue 15-Dec-20 12:28:54

Any/all carols sung by a decent choir.
Forget all the other stuff, nothing to do with Christmas.

craftygran Tue 15-Dec-20 12:13:30
