I've always had a star. In my childhood we had a succession of Angel's made by us children. My lovely old silver shiny star has finally broken and cant be repaired. I cant find a direct replacement. Lots of stars but for standing or hanging little ones. Maybe I'll get some ideas from this thread and try a new idea?
Crotcheted Angel my sister bought me from Budapest. I’ve tried stars, fairies, and angels, especially the toilet roll tube and tissue made by the children. Maybe once Covid eases we could make them like these figures to use up the masks.
Angel/fairy here too. She's older than my eldest son, 43, and has been patched up a bit over the years. She looks a bit unsteady up there on the top of the tree but manages to stay up every year!
We have a traditional looking Father Christmas on both our trees. They have long red velvet robes trimmed with gold,( not the red and white Santa suit).
My DD , grown up with a house and fiance of her own, still gets the honour of placing them on the top of the trees ,after all the other decorations are in place. This is one of our much loved traditions.
Yes, they are meant to be angels not fairies!? We always had a white and gold angel on the tree when I was a child, and also when our own children were young. At some point we then bought a star which we have had ever since.
