Oh, and the Scottish diversion came about because out of nowhere an English person decided to give us the benefit of their anti-Scottish feeling and conflated being Scottish with a hatred for the Royal Family. I don't always reference independence etc, *lemongrove", and neither do several other Scottish posters that I can think of. Similarly, not all English posters make a habit of airing their anti-Scottish opinions or ridiculing Sctottis accents or dialects. All of us on the forum are individuals, and cultural stereotypes are just blunt instruments for grumpy posters to use to flail about them.

Not rubbish at all. Every country is the sum total of its location, geography, climate, crops, diet, history, political structure, literature, religion and a whole load more.

The USA is not the same as the UK. The Netherlands are not the same as Bavaria or any other part of Germany Anyone who has lived in more than one part of the Uk knows that all regions are not identical. . Some elements are the same, some are different.

The OP stated that Scotland is different in all ways from England. That clearly isn’t true. Both countries speak the same main language, use the same currency, shop in broadly the same shops, drive on the same side of the road and have the same passport.

Let’s get back to the piano playing.....much more interesting.

Yes it does take courage to perform, in public or pre-recorded, particularly accompanying professional musicians.

Anyone who has ever played the piano for assembly, taken part in the school concert, competed in a music competition, or in fact performed live in any form of life artistic endeavour knows that. It is usually dismissed as stage-fright or first night nerves, but it takes courage to overcome it.

And knowing there are some who would be thrilled if you made a mistake

She wasn't going to make a mistake because they would have re-recorded it until she got it right.
