If you could pick a gift to be given, what would it be?

Mine wouldn't be an object, it would be for someone to take responsibility for arranging the renovations my house needs (I'd be happy to pay for it).

Is like an appointment with the back specialist. I'm on a 50 week waiting list. Only 30 weeks to go.

Something practical that makes life easier. We have bought ourselves a new coffee machine because we like to get something we both want . It’s wrapped up under the tree, daft really but we won’t use it until Christmas Day. I’ve bought the coffee beans ready.

I've just had it, thank you for asking- my little grandchild is officially ours following the last court hearing about the adoption. A gift ( truly) beyond price, and I know, not without pain to the birth family.

I wouldn't mind an offer of someone checking/puting air in my car tyres once a month for a year.

That’s just the best one chocolatelovinggran you will have the most magical Christmas. So heartwarming.

I wouldn't mind an offer of someone checking/puting air in my car tyres once a month for a year.

I was persuaded by ATS to have the air replaced with nitrogen in my tyres a few years ago. (Apparently, the F1 cars have it in their tyres!) It cost me about £8 per tyre initially but they will check and top up every few months for nothing! (I generally tip the guy who does it).

Would that help you, Kim19?

I would love to have uninterrupted, carefree time alone with each of my remaining children, and my grandchildren. An impossible dream.
Otherwise, a first class ticket to the Galapagos or the Silk Road, both on my bucket list bit very unlikely to materialise.
Happy to dream…

For my little Dgds feet to be corrected in the shortest possible time. She currently has to wear special restrictive shoes 23 hrs a day. AussieGran59 I’m sure you are and they just think you don’t need to be told. Chocolatelovinggran yes that is the best news, fantastic.

The best present ever Chocolatelovinggran hope you all have a lovely Christmas.

For me it's books, and more books of course.

I would love somebody to come and do a 'death clear' on my cluttered house. I just can't face the effort it would take!

Redhead56 Sat 17-Dec-22 09:07:48

Our DD has been unwell this last year my best Christmas present would be to see she makes a full recovery.

GrannyLaine Sat 17-Dec-22 09:37:08

The rather enigmatic grey-haired guy on the Audi Christmas advert.......

Kim19 Sat 17-Dec-22 09:47:37

Thanks Ash, hadn't heard of that. Will pursue with vigour!

Georgesgran Sat 17-Dec-22 09:47:45

The OP said a gift to be given, so thank you very much GrannyLaine - I’ll take him off your hands!

Jaxjacky Sat 17-Dec-22 09:48:46

Mr Claus GrannyLaine you’d have to lend him back every Christmas!

henetha Sat 17-Dec-22 09:51:50

I would love a PA. Personal assistant. There are so many things I need help with now and I don't like to keep bothering family.
Cleaning, paying bills, looking after my car, etc, clearing cupboards, etc.,. the list is endless.
